Souls clinging, one to the other

Intertwining vines

Wrapping and twirling

Over and over

Around and around

Our leaves facing the sun

Accepting sunshine

Warmth seeping deep within

Each facing leaf giving shade

To that which is beneath

Still freely dancing in the wind

Secured in love, holding tightly

Wrapping around each other lovingly

Supporting each other

Gaining strength with each twist

Bound by our souls intertwining

Incredible joy clinging to one another

Inch by inch we climb

Reaching together towards the sky

Our love is more beautiful

As we grow together

In our loving embrace

Yolanda don't think Iranian and Indian food are too similar.

by Esfand Aashena on

Indian food has a lot of spices, not spicy, but "spices".  To find out more about the Indian spices you can see the movie "The Mistress of Spices" starring Aishawara Rai.  You can get it on Netflix as well.

Some parts of Iran use a lot of spices but mostly not as much.  The taste between the two cuisines are different.  Tandoori oven bread is nothing like Lavash bread!  Tandoori bread is thick and Lavash is thin.  Maybe you meant another bread, like Taftoon but still not as thick.

I think Iranians use more Saffron than Indians in their rice.  Also there are slight differences in the Basmati rice, only a connoisseur can tell! Lastly and certainly not the least the Iranian food is no where near as spicy (hot, hot :-) as Indian food.  Many Iranians, especially women, are so afraid of the hot spicy Indian food and won't go near it!

If you like hot spicy Indian food try Chicken Vindaloo but if you like spicy (not hot) flavors try Chicken Tikka.

Everything is sacred

Indian and Persian food have some similarities. Both Iranians and Indians eat Basmati rice and put saffron on rice......I went to an Indian fast food restaurant not long ago....there is a Tandoori oven, the bread they make is very similar to Lavash bread!

Persian food is way more exquisitely prepared!

India and Iran are the 2 main saffron producers in the world!

One pound of saffron can cost $1200! OMG!

Yolanda,

Thank you for all the awesome vidoes.

At work it is crunch time. I have 14 out of 24 students reading at varying reading levels. Only 10 more to go. :o)

not at all....

by Latina on

Raton,

It has nothing to do with eating to many spicy food early in life or my taste buds.

I simply developed an allergy to certain levels and kinds of spicy food.

My favorite Mexican dish is Chile Rellenos in which poblano or anaheim chile pepper is used. Ironic! I know! lol

Mild to medium? You've got to be kidding me!

by Esfand Aashena on

That's like saying Iranians or Indians aren't too much into rice or Asians don't like seafood!  Mild to medium is for average people, anyone is mild to medium!  Did you overdo it earlier with way too spicy food and lost your taste buds?!

Oh well, I was going to talk Indian food and say get some Chicken or Lamb Vindaloo and order it extra spicy.  Vindaloo is the hotest dish in Indian menus in America.  If you go to India Vindaloo is probably mild to medium!

But with mild to medium I guess you can ask for your basic chicken Curry or chicken Tikka.  So what would you say is your favorite mild to medium Mexican dish?  I take it Jalapeño chile verde is not it?!

Everything is sacred

I would say almost none.LOL

Seriously, it is like a mild to medium. Anything more and I have a major allergic reaction. Yep! Shocking isn't it?!

Natalie let's talk spicy food!

by Esfand Aashena on

Being a Mexican you are born with genes that are made for eating spicy food!  All that Jalapeño and various peppers and chilis and such.  Isn't Jalapeño Mexico's national crop?!

And not to forget the wall to wall colorful hot sauces in many Mexican restaurants used as decorations!

So what would you say is your level of hot spicy food?  Med-high, high-very high, very high - fire, fire - hellish or the maximum Thermo nuclear?!

Everything is sacred
