This is my contribution to the world through the ink, paper and a little bit of controversy!
Demcracy is targeted by Violence and Coercion, whether it is in the East or the West.

by KavehAhangarAdel on Tue Jan 11, 2011 12:32 PM PSTI agree that the rhetoric of violence instigates violence, as Olbermann illustrated very well. As far as equivalency between East and West. There is none, and none was intended. There is more irony in looking at the West and absolute horror looking at the East.
thank you all for the comments. I appreciate them all.

Keith Olberman about political violence
by Ari Siletz on Mon Jan 10, 2011 05:22 PM PSTdisgusting example of Leftist sophistry, &(?) IRI apologia
by bushtheliberator on Mon Jan 10, 2011 04:50 PM PSTPychotic nut cases, East & West, are drawn to attack the famous: the Kennedys,John Lennon,Ronnie,et al;and now this congresswoman in Arizona. This happens in " the West" perhaps once every few years.
How does this have ANY equivalency with GOVERNMENTS that murder their citizens to suppress demands for civil rights ?
There's not room enough to name the 10 to? 30 thousand victims of the IRI's murderous suppression.
omid jan, as esfande ashena
by hamsade ghadimi on Mon Jan 10, 2011 08:15 AM PSTomid jan, as esfande ashena indicated, this is in reference to the tuscon tragedy and sarah palin's poster with crosshair symbols indicating which politicians they (the tea-baggers) want to "take out." here's the poster:

Very nice!
by Esfand Aashena on Mon Jan 10, 2011 04:57 AM PSTOmid jaan my interpretation is that in the East (like Iran) they hang you when you "think" of democracy and in the West (like USA and the Tuscon tragedy) an assasin kills you when the election and democracy in action doesn't go the way he voted.
People like Glenn Beck entice the mentally unstable that country is going down the drain and becoming Communist and they should do something about it. So they take matters into their own hand and forget about democracy and how it is "supposed" to work, with civility.
Everything is sacred
What does it supposed to mean in the West?
by Omid Hast on Sun Jan 09, 2011 09:14 PM PSTAlthough in the 'East' there exist exceptions to what is shown, but generally speaking, I suppose by "East" you mean a country like Iran; but what do you by 'democracy is targeted by violence and Coercion' in the West? In what country in the West a rifle is pointing at the people in the West when they talk 'democracy'? Please site an example.
