This is my contribution to the world through the ink, paper and a little bit of controversy!
The fossils who run FIFA have really killed the spirit of the game with their lack of vision, their rigidity and stubbornness! If everyone else in the world can see it except them, then it must be true!

We all need to learn
by Ali P. on Fri Jul 02, 2010 01:38 PM PDTMy wise friend, Majid jaan:
We all need to learn to accept the fact, that some times, judges, or referees, make mistakes. It is part of living in a free society.
Let's learn to accept it. Life goes on.

by Majid on Thu Jul 01, 2010 06:53 PM PDTI do agree that better team loses sometime, that's the nature of this game, but losing the game to referee is what we're talking about!
Mokh less.
There is human error involved in everything
by Ali P. on Thu Jul 01, 2010 05:46 PM PDTStop expecting %100, enjoy the %75 of the calls they get right, and get over it, baabaa.
It is a game. The better team loses some times. That's what make it so exciting!
Who said life is fair %100 of the time?
MM... it was more like ...
by KavehAhangarAdel on Wed Jun 30, 2010 07:00 AM PDTsaying that FIFA will reopen discussion and only about goal line technology and nothing else. That really shows that they're not going to make any significant changes and they're just going to "discuss" it! we'll see! here is the clip:

FIFA - goal-line technology & instant replay to be implemented
by MM on Wed Jun 30, 2010 05:47 AM PDTThe President of FIFA just announced that they will consider the implementation of goal-line technology as well as instant replay to avert the disasterous calls of the referees that we have seen in the past weeks. He also appologyzed to several countries who were the victims of these bad calls.
Majid......emphasis on eventually!!
by KavehAhangarAdel on Wed Jun 30, 2010 05:16 AM PDTI heard Sepp Blatter's talk about revisiting the "technology" question yesterday........ when will this actually go into effect? who knows. I think their arrogance precedes them!

...........
by Majid on Wed Jun 30, 2010 01:44 AM PDTLots of bad calls this year and I think FIFA will evantually do something about this, like replay or a panel of judges or something to fix it.
MM, electronic detection for sure...
by KavehAhangarAdel on Tue Jun 29, 2010 06:58 PM PDTis a great idea. Offside rule should stay as I believe not having it will make the game just plain stupid(leaving the forwards around the box and just kicking it to them so they can finish the ball--mordeh khori) I like the unlimited substitution idea.... keeps it fresh and exciting(hockey, indoor soccer) great ideas. Thanks for your insights.

I agree with you - some controvertial suggestions, though
by MM on Tue Jun 29, 2010 12:47 PM PDTThe referees totally blew it when they did not see the ball bounce in and out of the goal-line (England vs Germany?), or even worse, several times totally blew the offside calls. It was also amazing to see the poor footbalists pant, huff and puff around the end of the game, especially when the games went overtime. Here are some controversial suggestions:
* Either implement electronic detection of goal/offside from the above (in important club, FIFA or international games) or eliminate the offside rule all together.
* Allow multi-substitutions during the game (just like hockey) so that we see a full game with 100% effort, instead of tired old souls who cannot even chase after their own sweat around the end of the game.
