I grew up in Maryland. ACC all the way. Granted, the Terps couldn't win a game even if they had a two TD lead with less than 2 minutes on the clock and they had the ball, 1st and goal at the one yard line, but hey, what can you do?

Nothing like an election to get the old juices flowing.  Alot of great debates have been fought on IC.  Alot of bullshit as well.  I respect anyone who presents their side in a fair and logical way, even if I don't agree with them.  You and several others provided some truly admirable arguments.  Again, I consider it an honor to debate or discuss with so many obviously talented people.

I'm glad you take it all in fun.  What's life without humor?  And who can you laugh at if you can't laugh at yourself? 

One more football game... THE game of the year... Clemson versus South Carolina on Saturday... and then I'll focus on basketball.  I know NBA rules on the West Coast but on the East Coast, it's all ACC versus SEC, baby.

Are you kidding? Obama picked him because he is scandal free and a gentleman and can say a complete sentence unlike Sarah Palin. Every time Biden said something silly, even in "private" quarters, he was slammed. That's not unfair to me. No one complained about that on our side. 

Palin just sucked, even the fairest of the fair admitted this. McCain knows it too..... there are so many reasons for this!

I know that you and a few others thoroughly enjoy seeing her get ridiculed. During the campaign, she was under tremendous scrutiny, whether it was because of her clothes, her teenage daughter, her way of speaking, or whatever.

Some of it was justified, some of it was not. She didn't seek the VP slot. She was approached out of the blue by McCain's crew.

But it's been three weeks since the election. McCain has barely been a blip on the radar. And Joe Biden? I think they're about to issue a missing person's bulletin on Joe Biden. And he's on the winning ticket!

I'm not suggesting that you or anyone else must like her or what she stands for or anything of the sort. But it's enough already.

No one "trashed" her during the campaign.

They reported her.  She's news media heaven.  She loves the attention and America loves making fun of her.  As long as she continues her imbecilic ways, she's gonna make news.

The ones making excuses are these news outlets who trashed her during the campaign and now are so desperate that they are trailing her every move. Every organization who trashed her wants to interview her now. It's ok if you don't find anything wrong with that, but I do.

I totally agree that she's not going to amount to anything.  But I'm still saying that the FAR conservative right adores her.  Not mainstream Republicans... you're right.  But the far right, who've been saying all along that McCain wasn't conservative enough, voted for her in masses.  Older white males... that was her target group and she had them wrapped around her little finger.  Mind you... she's going to come under fire after each of her little interviews but don't dismiss the support she does have. 

And those followers of Brit Brit and the other twit twit... they made them ZILLIONAIRES.  Fans of the feeble minded... these people can be rabid my friend!

So... not intending an argument with you by any means, I still consider her very dangerous.

No AW that is not right! Neither conservative nor any other kind of Republicans, other than her family, like her or think highly of her or take her seriously. If there ever was a doubt, the events of the past couple of months and the ongoing saga she keeps creating confirms it.

You know Britney Spears was on the news all the time, Paris Hilton was and now it is her turn. Of ALL the interviews she has given NONE were meant to take her seriously, only to give her a chance because when this was serious Republicans were afraid to let her speak and now we know why!

Anyway, I am 100% certain she is not going to amount to anything. Even if she makes herself a candidate, like Liberman did before her, she is not going to amount to anything. But you can believe in whatever you want to believe. Not that there is anything wrong with it!

Republicans have no other choice

but to keep her front and center.  She was the only positive thing they had during the campaign.  YOU know and I know that she's a douchedizzle (thank Marge for that... I've been wanting to use it forever...lol).  But the conservative right adored her.  She'll be high profile for awhile then she'll disappear.  I can't conceive that she'd be a serious contender in 2012.

It's a distraction

Listen to her words. Seriously. It's rare to encounter a person who babbles on and on but does not actually say anything. What is she thinking? She's dumber than Homer.

Her sentences are so void of meaning. I don't understand anything she is conveying. 

Look she's cute and stuff, but there has to be a standard. There has to be. You can't just say "small government, grow business" and expect to be embraced by public.

Pretty unbelievable.  The guy in the back kept looking at the camera, not sure what to do.  I think even he knew how stupid and how bad this was.  He seemed like he just couldn't believe this woman would stand THERE and let him and his doings be in the background!  On David's post I said this was like a Fellini movie, but I take that back, it was like a brand new genre of film, "The Docu-Stupidity" genre. Truth be told, I really want to forget her already.  Let people of Alaska who did vote for her have to deal with her.
