There are some who ask: when will the legitimate and respected religious leaders like Grand Ayatollah Sistani end their silence, and challenge the corruption and hypocrisy of the so called "religious" hierarchy in adjoining Iran whose blatant, shameless, and despicable conduct (as most recently exposed by Abbas Palizdar) has turned so may disillusioned and hopeless ordinary souls to Godlessness? The inaction of the pious has, unfortunately, lead to a widespread and mistaken perception, "na keh Islam dar khatar ast, balkeh khatar dar Islam ast!" Grand Ayatollah Sistani, isn't it time for a call to action?
