Huh!
Yeah, we're comin' back then with another bombtrack
Think ya know what it's all about
Huh!
Hey yo, so check this out
Yeah!
Know your enemy!
Come on!
Born with insight and a raised fist
A witness to the slit wrist, as we're
movin' into '92
Still in a room without a view
Ya got to know
Ya got to know
That when I say go, go, go
Amp up and amplify
Defy
I'm a brother with a furious mind
Action must be taken
We don't need the key
We'll break in
Something must be done
About vengeance, a badge and a gun
so rip the mic, rip the stage, rip the system
I was born to rage against 'em
Fist in ya face, in the place
And I'll drop the style clearly
Know your enemy
Know your enemy!
Yeah!
Hey yo, and get with this...uggh!
Word is born
Fight the war, fuck the norm
Now I got no patience
So sick of complacence
With the D the E the F the I the A the N the C the E
Mind of a revolutionary
So clear the lane
The finger to the land of the chains
What?
The land of the free?
Whoever told you that is your enemy
Now something must be done
About vengeance, a badge and a gun
So rip the mike, rip the stage, rip the system
I was born to rage against 'em
Now action must be taken
We don't need the key
We'll break in
I've got no patience now
So sick of complacence now
I've got no patience now
So sick of complacence now
Sick of sick of sick of sick of you
Time has come to pay...
Know your enemy!
Come on!
Yes I know my enemies
They're the teachers who taught me to fight me
Compromise, conformity, assimilation, submission
Ignorance, hypocrisy, brutality, the elite

One more thing
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Thu Aug 11, 2011 06:02 AM PDTabout "revolution" here say it did succeed which is very implausible. Who do you think is going to pay these welfare types now? Is the whole nation going to sit on their bottoms and wait for government checks?
Who is going to work when everyone is busy looting and demanding. I suggest people stop making demands instead try working. "Boro kar kon magoo chist kar; ke sarmaye javdanist kar". Means "Go work; don't say what is work; it is the eternal wealth".

Britain's welfare state
by Reality-Bites on Thu Aug 11, 2011 03:56 AM PDTIt may have been true once, but I don't believe it's any longer accurate to say that Britain is a nanny state that looks after "everyone". Indeed, this has not been the case for quite some time. Yes, some people still get away with receiving welfare when they should be out looking for jobs and working, but that is slowly decreasing in scale.
Since the time of Margaret Thatcher and under successive governments, Conservative and Labour, the UK has rolled back on social security and other welfare benefits considerably. Added to which, many previous benefits, such as state pension, dentist costs support have either been reduced or stopped altogether.
In some ways, the UK system has been moving very close to the US system. For example, university students now have to get loans to pay for their living expenses and tuition fees, when previously government grants covered those.
As for this blog, the writer, not for the first time, is once again living out his delusions. A bunch of (mainly) teenage criminals, drug dealer/users and gang members going round looting, destroying and burning innocent people's shops and livelihoods do not amount to a popular anti-government revolution.
There are of course social and (relative) poverty issues in some poorer inner city areas. However, if anyone had a clue about what has really been going on in these riots (unlike the blog writer), they'd know that the great majority of people in the UK are totally disgusted with the actions of these common criminals and this is no popular revolution of any decription, worthy of the name.
History repeat itself...but we have to learn
by Siavash300 on Wed Aug 10, 2011 06:56 PM PDTThe writer is same kind of the people who provoked people against shah back in 70's. Shamelessly they are taking side with thugs and "mindless criminals" on street of London. These are "ghettos". The same story that happened in Iran, now the clinchy fist shows in different country. I have a news for you buddy.
These are westerners, they are NOT Iranians like it was in 70's. Poor Iranians were betrayed by you guys and turned against shah and consequently, Iran turned to dumpster that we are witnessing these days. It doesn't work with westerners. Unlike Iranians, Brits will take care of these criminals rather than let them grow like we did in 70's and Khomainie came to picture. Don't waste your time with clinchy fist of Ayattolahs from Iran. It doesn't fly with westerners. Say hi to mullahs in Iran for me.
Thanks,
Siavash

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Wed Aug 10, 2011 04:19 PM PDTI am talking about lessons Britain may learn from USA. You may have a nanny state in UK. We do not! In America you are on your own for most part. I actually think we have gone too far in removing the safety net out here.
We do have a multicultural nation where people live next to each other. You got all people working together. I remember watching Muslim Egyptian and an Othodox Jew working together. No hate; no fighting just working.

by Truthseeker9 on Wed Aug 10, 2011 03:51 PM PDTI think it is you missing the point. I read his comment different to you, did you laugh? I don't think so.
Are you an expert on Britain as well? We have a Nanny state which looks after everyone, some people think they are better off claiming benefits than working. There are generations of families that just live on the Dole. Teenagers become pregnant to just get a council house. It is a Welfare State .
I guess
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Wed Aug 10, 2011 03:26 PM PDTBy British haters Shepesh means me. Obviously she did not bother to read my post. Or if she did she missed the point. I am not taking pleasure in their misfortune. I am pointing out the flaws in their approach to cultural integration.
Where did I show any joy in their misery? If they would instead learn from their mistakes and have a sensible immigration policy the would avoid cultural issues. We learned this the hard way in USA. After many riots and burning and looting we learned a few things. Like ghettos are not a good idea. Like having society where a black man may become president. Regarding "welfare state" I have never heard such bunk. At least here in USA most people work their *** off.
We had someone who would have nipped this at the bud
by Truthseeker9 on Wed Aug 10, 2011 03:02 PM PDT......call in the troops and finish this, former PM Thatcher (the Iron Lady) would have. Plastic bullets and beanbag cannons are in order and water and sound cannons are quite effective also. And music for this would be ...
Finish these thugs off.
In the USA
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Wed Aug 10, 2011 02:18 PM PDTAfter 911 the first thing Bush did was to get on TV and tell everyone NOT TO blame all Muslims. This really goes to his credit. As much as people hate him at least he prevent a potential disaster.
I am not a Bush supporter but he did the right thing at the right time. Whenever something like this happens there are those who try to take advantage of it. Thanks to Bush USA was pretty much spared the pain and riots.
A few Muslim run businesses put up American flags and "God Bless America" signs. It worked. No mass attacks. No major problems. England needs to learn a few things about immigration from the USA even Bush!

Britain
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Wed Aug 10, 2011 01:50 PM PDThas no one to blame but itself. Who promoted Islamism? Who let these Islamists into their country without bothering to think of assimilation? What did they think Islamist will just move there and turn into proper Britons! Duh!
They inflamed Islamists now they reap the results. Nevertheless I do feel for them. This should be a lesson to nations that letting in large number of people with a totally different culture may not be a great idea.
Immigration is a fine art and should be handled with care. Not just open the flood doors and then act surprised when you get culture clash. By the way the same is happening in Iran with Afghan refugees. Wherever they go crime rate shoots up. I have nothing against Afghans. In fact their culture is a lot closer to Iran than Islamists to Britain. No matter still they get problems. As I said immigration is not a simple matter.

Anglophile, about the second video you posted
by Shepesh on Wed Aug 10, 2011 01:37 PM PDTThe video has become synonymous with London's riots: A young man, bleeding and dazed, is helped from the ground by a group of youths — who promptly unzip his backpack and callously make off with its contents.
Although he has a broken jaw and is unable to talk, Haziq (a Malaysian student) has made it clear he wants to remain in Britain and continue his studies here. He wants to remain in the same area where the attack occurred, ignoring offers to move to parts of London less affected by the rioting.
