VIDEO IS 100% ACCURATE - THOSE ARE HIS OWN WORDS

by maghshoosh on Mon Sep 17, 2012 06:42 PM PDTThe video posted at this blog is a hack job that's been selectively cut-and-pasted from a longer interview to distort what Glaysher is implying, as explained at
//iranian.com/main/blog/maghshoosh/iris-b...
Also note that one of the responders below, MaryamJoon, starts by pretending she doesn't know anything about this topic but w/in a short time becomes so knowledgeable that she's conducting a nutty anti-Baha'i crusade at this site, posting several incoherent anti-Baha'i blogs consecutively. She's suddenly such an expert that she's even advocating for one interpretation of Baha'ism over another in the comment below. Pathological lying comes natural as part of their crusade.
Reform Bahais seem more sensible than the Israeli-Haifa Bahais
by MaryamJoon on Fri Sep 14, 2012 03:44 PM PDTOf course Iranian Bahais are our own children, but also people have to know that there is a political game in the background; and they have to know that most Bahais are notIranians (and these foreigners make themselves involved in Iranian issues on behalf of Israel). If a child is Iranian, and wants to stay Bahai, I would say to them do NOT follow the Haifa-Israeli-Bahai ... there are other groups of Bahai for them to join. Here is a group that says they are not connected to Israel and criticizes the Haifa-Israeli-Bahai Political Group and Military Propaganda Operations.

Dear frazelle09 - a serious source doesn't mean proselytizing
by MaryamJoon on Wed Sep 12, 2012 07:21 AM PDTAs to the link you provided, after having looked it over, neither I nor anyone who has a secular intellectual curiosity about what the person in the video on this blog says, considers a link that contains proselytizing information a serious source. Proselytizing information is for finding converts - academic sources are for evaluating information and making a reasoned judgment.
Abdu'l-Bahá's KBE (Knight of the British Empire)
by MaryamJoon on Tue Sep 11, 2012 11:47 PM PDTNot interested in Sen McGlinn's fairly tails about what a KBE is.
KBE = Knight of the British Empire.
At the height of British-Colonialism, when the British Occupied the lands of others and killed millions of people and plundered their resources, they offered and Abdul Baha accepted a Knighthood. Colonial-Britain was not engaging in humanitarian deeds. They were occupying India, stealing its wealth and raping their children, and causing a famine in Bangladesh. Their activities in Africa are well known. People can look up BRITISH COLONIALISM (they don't need Sen McGlinn or Jen McGlinn - there are recognized historians that have written on the topic).
'Abdu'l-Bahá and Knighthood
by frazelle09 on Tue Sep 11, 2012 11:14 PM PDTDear reader. Upon visiting this blog recently i ran across some references which seemed to express doubt as to 'Abdu'l-Bahá being awarded the KBE.
A simple perusal of Google "'Abdu'l-Baha knighthood" revealed some 75,000 references to this topic. One of the first and perhaps most interesting is:
//senmcglinn.wordpress.com/2011/04/22/abdu%E2...
This site also contains photos from The British National Archives, one of which is "List of Persian Honorary Members of Various British Orders". It lists the name of 'Abdu'l-Bahá Abbas under the letters K.B.E. as well as another Persian gentleman.
Have a wonderful evening! :)

Some things here, kind of remind me of this video
by MaryamJoon on Tue Sep 11, 2012 09:54 PM PDTFORMER BAHAI ASSEMBLY LEADER ON VIDEO (Bahá'í Brainwashing Corporation): "I've been a Bahai since 1976 ... Reagan needed a bludgeon to beat Iran and the Bahai faith is useful for that purpose. The Bahai faith uses US and Israeli government officials against Iran. ... The Bahai administration misleads people about what it is. ... Bahai doctrine manipulates its followers ... Bahai conduct is ruthless ... Bahais harass people, engage in personal slander and abuse to obscure downplay and conceal facts. The whole focus of the Bahai faith is on self-serving censorship and manipulation. Their websites are highly censored and manipulated to a point that is almost unbelievable and include methods to manipulate internet searches."
It's an interview, and those are his words ...
by MaryamJoon on Tue Sep 11, 2012 08:24 PM PDT... and as a 40 year veteran of the Bahai movement when he says their members attempt to censor websites, to an extent that even he finds "unbelievable," that's saying something ... it's in the middle of the interview.

This is the point...
by Frashogar on Tue Sep 11, 2012 09:24 AM PDT....the Colonial-British government, which at that point was causing
LITERALLY thousands of massacres against millions of people all over the
globe in lands under British-Colonial occupation. A British KBE at
that point in time is akin to getting a 'good leadership' medal from
Ghenghis Khan in the eyes of most Iranians...
Which ever way you cut it.
Iran
by Frashogar on Tue Sep 11, 2012 09:14 AM PDTCannot be the Baha'i homeland simply because by their own reckoning Bahaism was born in Baghdad, although the true fact of the matter is that it was born in Edirne (Adrianople) on the Black Sea coast in Ottoman, Turkey. Babism was indeed born in Iran and they are their own independent religion known as the Bayan. Baha'ism was technically born outside of Iran so by that mere fact alone cannot be an Iranian religion but an Ottoman Turkish religion.

I don't know anything specifically about this. Abbas Effendi's half-brother makes a lot of allegations about him in this vein and the Abbas Effendist Baha'is have made similar allegations back about his half-brother. Whether the children which resulted from any such purported hanky-panky are the current leaders of the Palestinian Authority is difficult to prove. I know Mahmoud Abbas has been accused of being a secret Baha'i several times in print, but the allegers have never really given anything by way of convincing evidence. It is possible he is; it is possible he is not. He has so far denied it.
(1) It's a stretch to
by MaryamJoon on Tue Sep 11, 2012 10:10 AM PDT(1) It's a stretch to call Iran the homeland of the Bahai movement when for 160 years under both secular and religious governments, the Bahai's overt political movement (evidence of which is amply represented on this site) was independently and repeatedly rejected by the majority of Iranian people and governments. Imagine George Bush trying to run for the same office for 160 years and getting rejected - there's a limit.
(2) Iranians do not have to answer to a foreign leadership panel of Baha'is - Most Baha'is are not even Iranians nor have ever visited Iran.
(3) Iran is not the homeland of Bahaism: 'Mirza Nuri' (the guy that changed his name to Bahalluah to hide his past) was summarily kicked out of Iran; and then he was kicked out of Iraq; and then he was kicked out of Ottoman Turkey and then went to Palestine where his family were rewarded for aiding the Colonial-British government, which at that point was causing LITERALLY thousands of massacres against millions of people all over the globe in lands under British-Colonial occupation. A British KBE at that point in time is akin to getting a 'good leadership' medal from Ghenghis Khan in the eyes of most Iranians.
(4) It is NOT an "honor" to get an award from the British Empire which was subjecting India to rape and pillage and caused a famine in Bangladesh that killed millions of people. The Brits and their helpers perpetrated this scheme this all over the world. Abdul Baha's KBE means something, but nothing good. (KBE, by the way stands for "Knight of the British Empire).

The British Mandate Authority for Palestine
by Frashogar on Tue Sep 11, 2012 03:34 AM PDTWas a colonial, occupying power. There is also no evidence for the claims Baha'is make regarding Abbas Effendi's knighting when the British government and its mandate authority themselves have explicitly claimed that Abbas Effendi was knighted for "services rendered unto the British government." If Baha'i's provided the actual copy of Abbas Effendi's knighthood certificate - which currently is classified in the British National Archives - this would settle the matter once and for all. Short of this, the knighting of Abbas Effendi is evidence of nothing more than an Imperial, colonial power in the Middle East rewarding one of its most public agents for services rendered unto it.

Again, I am simply responding to your personal request and will refrain from an engagement here.

PS - Abdu'l Baha's service to the poor and the deprived and his role in the restoration of the fresh water supply to Akka became known to such extent that the British governor of Palestine asked that he be knighted. Despite Abdu'l-Baha's discomfort with this recognition, he was knighted.

frazelle09: Iran is not the "homeland" of the Bahai Movement

I think that's what you meant. And that is consistent with the truth. What an honor to get an award from the British Empire which was subjecting India to rape and pillage and caused a famine in Bangladesh that killed millions of people. Yes, shine up Abdul Baha's KBE, it will reflect the light of truth! (KBE, by the way stands for "Knight of the British Empire).

The Bahá'í Faith
by frazelle09 on Mon Sep 10, 2012 10:17 AM PDTThis is a very interesting site/blog. i like it because it publishes articles about the Bahá'í Faith and about the plight of the Bahá'ís in Iran.
Iran is the homeland of the Bahá'í Faith and is revered by the Bahá'ís all over the world as the birthplace of the Revelation of Bahá'u'lláh. i hope to have the priviledge of going there some day and meeting other dear Bahá'ís and their friends.
All of my Iranian Bahá'í friends, both those living in Mexico and the U.S. talk about how beautiful the country is.
Some other links from the internet which might be of interest are:

and
//www.bahai.org/
One of the wonderful things Bahá'u'lláh has taught me is that Muhammad, may His Soul be ever blessed, was one of the Manifestations of God. i just taught a workshop for a group of Freemasons in which i had the opportunity to speak of the greatness of this Manifestation of God, His spiritual and social teachings, the purity of His life and the far-reaching and innumerable contributions the civilization which was founded by Islam spread throughout the civilized world. Did you know that little by little historians are beginning to consider that the Renaissance was really initiated by Islam?
Have a wonderful day! :)
