I watched the series. It wasn't the Iranianness for want of a better word. It was poor content as it was repetitive.  I thought he could have done with a change of writers or better writers for the show.

He's a funny and talented guy alright. He had his own show on brit tv and it didnt go down too well with the brit audience. I think you have to have some knowledge of iranian culture to appreciate his humour.

Personally ... I think he's great.
