To: The Iranian People
Proclamation to Abandon Islam
We, the people of Iran and the world, regardless of our origins and beliefs, have come to the realization that it is not possible for a person to be a Muslim and live by the standards of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We hold Islam in violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, by invading other lands, enslaving people, destroying their heritage and their way of life. We find Islam guilty of pursuing a multi-front attack, even to this day, on much of what is sacred to all civilized people. We consider Islam responsible for 1400 years of atrocities committed against the Iranian people and much of the Islamic world. We believe that Islam is the root of our problem therefore it must be abandoned.
Islam is not hijacked by the terrorists. The terrorists are the true Muslims. Muhammad bragged “I have been made victorious with terror” [Bukhari: 4.52.220]. He raided massacred, looted and raped innocent people. Islam promotes hate, violence, misogyny, discrimination, intolerance, child abuse and murder.
For the love of humanity, for the peace of the world and for the future of our children, we denounce Islam. We urge Muslims to leave this faith of hate and join the rest of mankind in amity. We are one people; let not prophets of hate like Hitler, Marx and Muhammad divide us with their big lies. We invite you to sign this petition and promote it. Peace cannot be attained unless hate is eliminated. Islam, like all ideologies of hate is the biggest impediment to peace.

by Dr. Mansur Rastani on Sat Mar 26, 2011 05:32 PM PDTYou got it all wrong, the purpose of my statement was mainly to save everybody’s time here by not going over repeated remarks, it would be fair to everybody if the commenter goes over the prior comments before he starts with his own.
Also I gave updates on the petition just for the sake of everybody’s information; there was no intention of bragging about the number, which as Bavafa said, it was not so surprising number anyway.

by Iranian123 on Sat Mar 26, 2011 04:52 PM PDTYou cannot say you are proud on one hand to list number of people for your Hate capaign (400 or so), and then complain when more and more people (like Farhad450) state the same reason against it. This is not about being "LATE" or seeking your approval for a sensible opinion.

by farhad450 on Sat Mar 26, 2011 02:55 PM PDTIn my opinion this is a hate petition. You are projecting your anger from the regime towards all muslims. Iran consists of diverse groups of people. If you don't respect the rights of moderate respectful muslims then you don't deserve freedom. I am not suprised, I see this sort of hate from iranians all the time. This is the reason we are not united. The hate unity doesn't count, actual unity consists of organization and action by respectful iranians. Again recognize that we are a diverse group of people. If you want the non-violent struggle to work then you should close your petition. Ask for federalism, secularism or other forms of government that respects the rights of all.
"Some Updates on the Petition"
by Bavafa on Sat Mar 26, 2011 11:03 AM PDTNot so surprising result. 445 people so far wish to rid Iran from Islam and what is the population of Iran and Iranians?!?!?!?
Don't get me wrong, I am all for shedding organized religion from the face of earth… but it helps if we understand and grasp the notion of 'sange bozorg alamate nazadan hast'
Maybe if all efforts are put to bring freedom of expression to Iran which is arguably more attainable, it would help and take care of the other issue in long run.
Good luck with your endeavor

by Mola Nasredeen on Fri Mar 25, 2011 06:18 PM PDTRed Star,
Your star faded long time ago. Its real color is pink now.
Rafsanjani made the comment:"thank you God for creating our enemies stupid" during the killings of the regime's personalities by the Mojahedins when Ahmadinejad was not around yet. His comment still rings true about many others.
PS, It is not 'Zogh Nazan' as you wrote. The correct Persian/Farsi grammer is 'Zogh nakon'.

by Shemirani on Fri Mar 25, 2011 11:36 AM PDTIts a very natural reaction after 32 years brutality on the name of God and islam, the anger you can feel today is very understandable, we can you like it or not ! but its just a process ...you can not kill rape, impose veil, ban music ,lash for a beer your own people on the name of islam and ask them to be quiet and tolerate everything !!!
Between a theocratic country and a secular (or laic) country, there is a VERY IMPORTANT STEP, that we can't ignore !!
Fighting against religious on power, we need a demystification, bringing down each mola ,and make religious people understand their religious is sacred ONLY for themself not for others, this not about personal attack just a intellectuel improuvement by writing publishing anything even if religious get shock, they have to learn to accept it!
we can't accept any religious propaganda ANYMORE. we really need OXYGEN !
And we can not reach a healthy secular country if you don't impose them to back up from public place. ( per example no more religious in all school books like we saw in every book in iran). If we don't raise our voices against all this brain washes on our kids, Who will ??!!If religious people don't have any limit we have to give them limit chon ke Ziadi ravi bessiar boode !
(ps: don't get me wrong i am not saying that we should be as untolerante as they were with us for so long and go for hating everubody but just making respect our right !)

by SOS-FREE-IRAN on Thu Mar 24, 2011 09:31 PM PDTDear Dr. Rastan, thank you for starting this petition. It is about time we raise the consciousness of the world about the genocidal atrocities commited on the Iranian people by Islamists.
I agree 100%, an Iranian is NOT a muslim and a Muslim is NOT Iranian. Islam is a religion which does not recognize sovereignty of Iran, but only of Islamic Clergy. Therefore, it is in direct contradiction with our Iranian nationalism. Islam is anti-Iranian, as such it needs to be eradicated /abandoned/removed from Iran.
I siged it.
by pedro on Thu Mar 24, 2011 07:39 PM PDTI like to pracrice Good thoughts, Good words and Good deeds in my home. feel free to worship your gold fish if you care, just do it in your home and don't try to convert me or torture me for not worshiping your gold fish. Now, lets work on how we can have a democracy. Again, to those of you whom are so wrapped up in racism and religion issue i would say, when we freed ourselves from the rapist regime, with as many atrocities the islamists committed, I can assure you islam is going to be the last thing people would like to be reminded of. Gradually by second and third generations, Iraninans will have a pretty good idea where they stand with regards to islam. the pressing issue now is freedom and democracy. Lets not get distracted.

by Dr. Mansur Rastani on Thu Mar 24, 2011 02:29 PM PDTIntellectual does not necessarily refer to a scholar and/or a philosopher. By definition, Intellect refers to the ability of the mind to come to correct conclusions about what is true or real, and about how to solve problems. A person who uses thought and reason in either a professional or a personal capacity is often referred to as an intellectual.
Based on this definition everybody can claim to be an intellectual since everybody is entitled to his opinion and nothing is wrong with that. The outcome could be the generation of millions alternatives, which would be left for the readers to select the optimal one.
Also I am not worried whether the idea is progressive or not since this is the natural trend for any new idea, they all have a slow-pace start.
BTW, Thanks for wishing the campaign your good luck.
Dr, thank you for the lecture
by Iranian123 on Thu Mar 24, 2011 12:56 PM PDTbut when I see blogs like this from Iranians who claim to be intellectual I really think there is no hope for Iran, and see why we perhaps as people do not deserve Democracy. I do not think your actions or proposals to be progressive at all. I wish you luck with your campaign.
There is a difference between Idiot-ism and having faith
by Dr. Mansur Rastani on Thu Mar 24, 2011 12:48 PM PDTIdiotism can happendue to ignorance and lack of knowledge and always can be prevented by promotingawareness among public as they have been done in civilized countries, but thosewho commit wrong doing base on their faith cannot be avoided as long as theybelieve in their ideology unless they change their mindset.

We R not a good reader
by Dr. Mansur Rastani on Thu Mar 24, 2011 11:47 AM PDTThere is no discrimination, bigotry, racism, chauvinism, etc.,here more elaboration on my last comment, on the sentence:
“A person is either anIranian or a Muslim but cannot be both!”
First, this sentence is written in the context of the people of Iran, second I said if you knew Islam then you knewthat you are either an Iranian or a Muslim but you cannot be both, which meansif you read your Quran you will find hundreds of commands that violate the principlesof human rights, which contradict the sanity of a healthy mind of a Persianwhose every act of life is based on goodthought, good dead, and good talks. Soit is just a warning for those who don’t like to be disturbed and prefer to beleft alone in their winter sleep, and of course it is their freewill to do so howeverthey will be Muslims who choose to live in Iran.
The criminal Islamic regime in Iran is operating exactlybased on Islamic rules, i.e., you can find verses that justify those tortures, rapes, murders, etc., keep in mind thatthey are doing it because our people let them do it, why? Because our people believe in the Islamic rules, that simple!
As a result even if you all get united and managed tooverthrow the brutal Islamic regime in Iran, as long as the Islamic mentality rulesover the people, no substantial change would have been achieved.
Dear Pedro
by darius on Thu Mar 24, 2011 10:03 AM PDTI am not fighting and I don't even know this guy.
My question is can I trust a person with a racist bias to advocate democracy in IRAN?
Iran is made of ethic Arabs, Turks, Lors, Baluch ,armenian, assyrian
and all others.
You either believe in a principle or you don't. How could I put down
other people and consider them inferior and beleive in democracy ?
How would I assure all other Iranians (regardless of their dialect, background) that tomorrow is a better day when today I am uncapable of practicing it and put it into action.
How can I trust a person that try to convince people his name has nothing to do with Arabs and is of Persian origin or a Crusader
title gone through changes .
Thus we should not be mad when we are called "sand....." and take a picture over our dead body as a trophy.
Unity without truth and honesty will not survive,I will never shake hand with those who united before 1979 to impose disaster to a nation .
This is the truth, Iran is not danger to the world peace,Iran is nothing ,Iran is all puff and nothing more. Please stop telling us lies.
Few old obsolete fighter, few cat copy guns and an infrastructure that two weeks of bombing brings it down, is not power because it cannot
sustain its existance. What is true is that ,We created a monster , this is our punishment for accepting to lies and fabrications and turned the light off ,welcomed darkness . Our today denial of IRI is
that we are the same people ,they are akhoonds and we are civilians.
Today Iran is only menace to the Iranians and itself, they are making deals behind the scene and giving it all away and those who say , advocate democracy are accepting the deal as long as their interest is kept safe for now and future.
We as Iranian, true aryan,Persian mean nothing ,if we have not
recognized this fact , we might as well "saremoon ro payeen bendazim va be zendegimoon bereseem" .
No one, nobody will care if Iranina are dead or alive , this is the fact. All matters how can I rub them off their natural resources,
dignities and make them a nation of non beleivers.

darius: Rapist vs. Rasist
by pedro on Thu Mar 24, 2011 08:43 AM PDTDear Sir;
What we need now is unity, having the islamist grip around our necks for 32 unbearable years ( here we go again, mention 32 and fussygorilla gets his panties twisted again, sorry fussygorilla ) everyone is struggling with the current situation in our beloved country, and everyone struggles to offer a solution to rid our country from mullahs . IMHO, sounding racist to unite everyone in order to get rid of regime that tortures, regime that rapes, regime that kills, regime that........... and finally have democracy is well justified. Lets not argue over who said what, everyone is suffering. We all have good intentions the only problem is we can not agree and unite. As I have said previously but, fell on deaf ears, WE IRANIANS LACK THAT SPECIFIC GENE IN OUR DNA, THAT RESPECTS AND VALUES ONE ANOTHER we see words, we react, our hands immediately and out of our control goes to our keyboard and frantically type away like there is no tomorrow. we have petty little labels for each other and quickly accuse some one of being leftist, royalist, Etc. I want democracy for all Iranians, moslem, jew, zoroaustrian, black, white, yellow........ but fighting among ourselves is not going to magically produce democracy. If you had a goal in mind, in order to achieve your goal you had to choose between a Rapist and a Racist, which would you pick?
Note: I'm not accusing anyone of being a racist.
