To God, People and Mohammad!
by David ET
30-Jun-2009

An educated caring man, a true human, a human rights defender, a respectful attorney who has done nothing wrong, not even according to the strict and unjust laws of the Islamic Regime is now sitting in the corner of a prison if not being hurt or humiliated and instead the thieves, thugs and criminals are free and roaming around him.

Something is seriously wrong with all this!

GOD:
All I have been reading and hearing in the past two weeks is that the people of Iran and outside have been calling your name
from their roof tops,
in the streets,
in their blogs,
in the corner of prison cells
and torture chambers
and before their last breaths:

GOD:

Where are you?!
Have they detained you too?

Mohammad is his name. The name of Islam's messenger
Mostafaei is his last name, also the name and title of Islam's Mohammad
He is from IRAN
he is a Muslim
and It is the Islamic Regime of all that has imprisoned Mohammad

He is guilty of representing 31 children who are to be executed
He is guilty of writing against Ahmadinejad
He is a lawyer of the Islamic regime's own laws

He is now in the corner of a prison cell thinking about his wife and own children
and about the 31 juveniles who can be executed any minute without his presence
and about 1000's of others who are in the same prison as he is kept
and hearing people cry in pain, shouting and silenced
and thinking about the violation of rights of his imprisoned nation and country IRAN
and about humanity
and about his religion
and is thinking about you:
GOD
and he is being disrespected
and he is being threatened
and he is being accused
of whatever it is that he has not done

A man that anywhere else in the civilized world would have celebrated for his commitments to humanity
and thanked for his good words, good deeds and good thoughts

GOD:
He is a good man.
An innocent man
protect him from evils who have jailed him.

GOD: Show us the way

and keep him safe
and give him back his right to be with his family and his people

He is there in prison so that those children can live one more day
He is there so that WE can be with our own family and friends
He always has tried to protect our rights and our nation's rights ,
our human rights,
and our children's rights

....now WHO is going to protect his?

GOD
We only have you
and ourselves Iranians
and the international community
will we and them speak up against this injustice?

Dear Mohammad,
know that you are in our thoughts and in our prayers.
Keep your head up and your heart warm as you always have
Remember that the prayers of all those children that you have saved from death and the prayers of their families are behind you
Remember that prayers of all human right advocates are behind you
Remember that the world respects you
Remember that "God is Greatest"
Remember....

This afternoon after paying 1 billion Rials (about $100,000 USD) , being accused of conspiracy against the security of the government and propaganda against the regime, I was released from section 209 of the Evin prison (in Tehran)
I greatly am thankful to all of those who had a role in gaining my freedom.
My imprisonment made me more determined than ever to solidly stand for human rights
Remain strong and standing

Iranians should pass the torch to Karoubi now

by David ET on

Today Mehdi Karoubi with his historical statement took the deserved leadership role of the people's movement and it is now up to the people and the coalition to stand behind him.

I started writing a long article about this and near the end I lost it all and I will attempt at another one but due to the importance of this historical statement, I see the need to at least for now state that the people and coalition should openly show their support of Karoubi's stated positions and assign him the leadership role that he has gained by his actions and active presence in the past few weeks .

I sure hope to very soon hear new slogans of : Karoubi Hedayat, Irani Hemayat

(Karoubi leadership, Iranians support)

I know this comment may lack insufficient backing but I will state my reasons in much detail soon. His presence at Ghobad Mosque few days ago and his humble, couragous and detailed statement today should be the taken as turning signal that I hope Iranians would act upon.

Well said...well said.  I absolutely agree with your assessment of God and religion.  Your pain and passion are so very obvious.  As well your faith in man.  As dear Azarin says, only when we get together as human beings will we survive.

I too agree with you and thank you

by David ET on

God is not a fixer but a source of strength for some of us. Those at night who get on the rooftops and call to God , gain strength to get them through the difficulties and struggles the next day..

Anyway this is not about God but a CALLING that says:

GOD

We only have you

and ourselves Iranians

and the international community

will we and them speak up against this injustice?

asking God to show the way but puting the responsibility on our own shoulders asking: if WE Iranians and the international community will speak up and do something?

and yes together and in millions that we are,  we can if we believe we can.

Each have our own belief systems but we all share our common humanity that does not accept injustice.

I am not religious nor believe in them . I think God created man and man created religions but that is NOT the subject here

So it is indeed up to us , all of us the athiests, The religious, the spirituals and all whose rights are being violated

Patience!

by Theos (not verified) on

Wouldn't God shrug its shoulders and simply state: " Patience kids, the Plan is being realized exactly as it should, don't you have a bit of p.a.t.i.e.n.c.e.? Just wait a few more hundred thousands of years and everything will be fixed back to normal."

wrong expectations?

by anonymous fish on

While I seriously and absolutely understand the anger and frustration of everyone, I think the whole meaning of God is misplaced.  I don't think anyone should think of God as being a "fixer".  Rather, people who have faith in him, or Allah, or simply kohda, have that faith to get them through things.  It's up to US, each individual, to make their choices and seek their future, through changes in themselves or in this case, changes in the government in Iran!  In other words, why place the burden of expectation on God?  And then when we don't get what we want, why do we blame him?  Believe me, this is NOT a advocacy of religion.  Just a plea not to expect or blame God for the evils in the world.  I don't anymore praise him for miracles than I do blame him for catastrophes.  I believe he is merely a symbol of faith in a higher being.  It is people's choices and actions that make our world what it is.

god just means khoda in persian; khood-aa means come to your own and act as humane, all other are just elements of gratifications.
in other word there is no such a thing as GOD.
may Iran be saved from these thugs. amen

Azarin Sadegh

Dear David,

by Azarin Sadegh on

As I had told you before, like you I am in pieces. I'm especially mad because of what is happening to Mostafai. I really think that this whole "Green Revolution" was the  way the regime identified all its opponenets and got rid of them, otherwise why arresting Mostafai?

I'm devastated and furious. Dear David, I really don't think god is the one to help us here. As human beings, if we get together, we'll be stronger than this lonely concept.

Be strong! azarin

Mohammad Mostafaei was approached by plain clothes government agents on Thursday June 25 while he was in the street with his family. His home and office were searched and then he was taken away in in front of his young daughter. There is no information about his whereabouts.

Something is very seriously wrong in Iran

by Mehrban on

Something is very seriously wrong in Iran.  It is called the Islamic Republic.

It is my understanding that all elements that may contribute to the progress of Iran are suspect and being purged, it was referred to as the "quiet crackdown" in one article.
