Not for translation!

Sorry, I didn't say that it can translate. I said it can convert the transcription to Persian (for example: 'khandeh' to 

خنده

In fact I am very glad that it can't translate otherwise I had to go and sell Laboo! (I am a translator).

Behnevis

Dear Datis,

Thanks for trying to help us, but so far Behnevis  is not a panacea. I wonder if you test-drove it. I did sometime ago and found out that although it is a good meaning technology, it yet has a long way to go before it could be used. I found out that translation of some words in Farsi or English could range from wrong to offensive that could constitute a a ground for lawsuit or clashes. Here is the latest example I used today to test the accuracy of its tranalation. 

Here is what I wrote:

یک کاریکاتور در روزنامه شهر ما اوبا مارا نشان میداد که باعجله پس از گرفتن جایزه صلح نوبل جلسه را ترک میکرد ووقتی یک خبر نگار ازو پرسید چرا عجله دارد اوباما گفت چون باید جنگ افغانستان را تشدید کنم. و اینهم برای خنده امروز! تافردا ابستن چه خنده ای باشد

And here is what Behnevis translated:

A newspaper cartoon showed us to our city Avba hastily after taking the Nobel Peace Prize was meeting to leave Vvqty Azv a journalist asked why the rush to war in Afghanistan because Obama said to exacerbate. And Aynhm for laughter today! What is an expectant Tafrda laughter. 

Let us pray that Behnevis will be evolved to do what the dream of its founders was.
