Indeed ZORRO was really one of the Shows that used to stun me as a Kid. I remember dressing up like him on Our Holloween Parties in Shiraz.

He was So Sexy and mysterious in his black Mask and cloak. I even remember one day telling my older brother that I wanted to become a Hero in my neighbourhood. He told me that some drug traffic was taking place in the area of Gasro Dasht outside Shiraz and it could be a good idea to do something about it. I said I could dress up and attack the drug trafficers at night and leave a Z sign on the walls.

My father who heard us from behind the door chuckled at us and said before you go out and save the World make sure to finish your homework.

That was the End of Zorro for me at least ! ... LOL

PS: Niki Jaan the French Dubbers are as Good as Iranians were. I actually sometimes prefer the French version of some series to the original english versions. One of my favorite ones was THE PERSUADERS with Roger Moore and Tony Curtis. The Amazing thing was that the French Dubbing was EXACTLY like the Iranian version of Kavoshgaran. I also love the French Title : Amicalement Votre aka Friendly Yours. It says so much about the series spirit.

My first big crush next to A-HA's Morten Harket was the charming actor portraying Zorro in this series, which I watched faithfully dubbed in French during my French stint in the 80s...I still remember the episode guest starring Annette Funicello :-)))

Maybe you can tell me, why ALL dubbed (Persian) male actors sound like maquereaux and female actors sound so loos?
