Your welcome Monda Jaan ... Also ...

by Darius Kadivar on

It's Not always Funny like Satrapi but Like her (and alas UNLIKE So Many Of Our Fellow Compatriots in the Diaspora she doesn't Cry over herself and her miseries) but Chooses to Fight back in her struggle for Survival both for herself and her family.

Like Satrapi she was and is a Fighter !

Yes I have. It is a very sincere and nice book to read. Not just sad there are some funny anecdotes on her childhood in Austria too.

Not everyone was a Revolutionary like Marjane Satrapi ...

PS: I also agree with your comment regarding an irresponsible CIA intervention. Some people NEVER Learn !

They haven't changed

by Raoul1955 on

Well Darius Kadivar I have no idea about this Evin prison, but I think you are comparing the situation that these people got themselves into over 30 years ago with where they are today, and that nothing has changed for the better during the 30-year period.  I do hope that our CIA can bring about positive changes to Iran so that these people can have a freer life, although they got themselves into this mess to begin with.
