SATIRE: GoodBye Ahmadinejad ?

I found it very ironic that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad left Iran after the bloody events on Monday for an international conference at Yekaterinburg in Russia. It reminded me of another dictator's convenient departure in similar circumstances:That of Nicolai Causcescu for Iran back in 1989.

YEKATERINBURG, Russia (AP) — One day late, Ahmadinejad attends security summit in Russia amid turmoil over election at home where he slammed Western Imperialism as reaching its near end ...

Russia welcomed Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Tuesday on his first trip abroad since his bitterly disputed re-election, a show of support for a leader facing major protests at home and questions from the West about the legitimacy of the vote count. More Here

I found it very ironic that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad left Iran after the bloody events on Monday for an international conference at Yekaterinburg in Russia. It reminded me of another dictator's convenient departure in similar circumstances:That of Nicolai Causcescu for Iran back in 1989 (where he had deposed flowers on Khomeiny's tomb) before returning home to be toppled and executed. What would Ahmadinejad's visit to Yekaterinburg augure for his future ? Will Medvedev Russia's New Republican Tzar take our dear Mahmoud to visit the crypt in which the last Russian Tsar and his family were buried after their execution ? Now wouldn't THAT be ironic ? Will we see the advent of a Revolution in the day's, months, to come ?

Only God/Allah/Jehova/Farvahar Knows ... Or is it Lenin ? ;0)

Yekaterinburg Background: Soon after the Russian Revolution, on July 17, 1918, Tsar Nicholas II, his wife, Alexandra, and their children Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, and Tsarevich Alexei were executed by Bolsheviks at the Ipatiev House in this city. More on the town here

Just imagine this happened to Khamenei during the Friday Prayers and he would be booed like Ceausescu in his last speech.

there is a way to convince the hierarchy in the Russian Mob that Ahmadinejad stole money from them.

The problem would be resolved with a bullet and a shovel. And at least his corpse won't contaminate Iranian soil.

One year from now or sooner, AN will not be president of Iran

by Anahid Hojjati on

I am willing to bet against anyone who wants that one year from now or sooner, you will not see the word president next to Ahmadinejad's name.  As a matter of fact, I made this comment about 3 weeks ago but then deleted it.  This time, I will not delete.

I did not claim he is on his way OUT.

I agree with you in that I'm Afraid That is Indeed Easier said than Done.

I just found his Yekaterinburg Visit very Ironic ...

David You Mean Our Boris Yeltsin ... ;0)

by Darius Kadivar on

Yes I share your assessment. As for Moussave being our "Gorbatchev" I'm still to be convinced for what do we really know of these other candidates except their dubious past or even program ? Apart from being part of the establishment and being thrust into the public eye as the only accepted candidates approved by Khamanei, I have no evidence of their true personality or if they truly adher to democratic values.

To be a Gorbatchev I think Moussavi first has to DELIVER what he PROMISED !

Will he do so ? THAT is the Question !

Only Time will say ...

But like You said :

I HOPE THE RUSSIANS KEEP AHMADINEJAD SINCE THEY LIKE HIM SO MUCH !

LOL

I remember back then, when Khatami was "elected", even RP called him the Gorbachev of Iran ... lol

Mousavi: Iranian Gorbachev?

by David ET on

Dear Dariush

There are whispers in Iran that Russians were actually the advisors and intelligence behind this Coup.

Lets face it: Khamenei, Ahamdinejad and Islamic Republic have been very good to them from giving up Iran's rights in Caspian to large contracts with nuclear reactors, gas and many others to often siding with them on their internal conflicts, constact frictions with  US, West and Israel etc.

KGB advise to Khamenei? : Do not allow a Gorbachev in your country, see what happened to us!? After all the two government mafias understand each other well.

Ahmadinejad needed this trip very badly for internal media propaganda. Russian gave it to him.

My message to Russians is : YOU LIKE HIM? KEEP HIM !
