Starting from top right hand corner, the titles are numbered 1 to 9.

2- Imam Khomeini "In an Islamic state, there is no dictatorship"

Dear VPK,

Thank you for your kind comment,

I really can’t blame you for your opposition with Islam and the hate and “allergies” it has created in a large number of Iranians and noon Iranians after the 1979 revolution witch with no doubt in one way or another contributed to the growth of other so called Islamic fanatic fundamentalism in the region and what fuels’ this fire is that the majority of the population in these regions are still uneducated and poor and in order to find answers and come to peace with the challenges of their everyday life they tend to fall back on their first and strongest line of defense: “religion”, and it given the circumstances they naturally adopt the philosophy and thoughts they are fed to through their religious leaders!

I personally don’t have a problem with and do not oppose the true and pure “essence” of Islam or any other “true” and “pure” religion for that matter ( the problem is there is NO purity left in organized religion) for I have a different perspective on the subject that may not be common for all, for I believe that there was a common and pure truth imbedded in the philosophy of religions that was and is beneficial to mankind when they were each originated in their own time and specific culture and see all the original prophets as the teachers of mankind, I see there “original” teachings as a pure stream of clean water coming down from the mountain stream for the benefit of all, but as time went by man himself started polluting this pure stream of water with the ill intention of greed and personal gain and in order to take control over minds, power and resources and with the passage of time what we have left today is a bunch of “dead religions” that lack purity and truth and  are influenced and controlled by greed and politics for the most part.  Another baffling point about Islam and other religions is that when we look at other branches of human science such as medical, mechanical, engineering etc. we see a path of gradual and continues growth, change and advancement through out time but how is it that religious science has stayed so far behind and frozen in time still clinging on to ideas that may have been relevant to cultures and societies of hundreds and thousands of years ago? Many of the so called men of light and prophets including Imam Ali had quoted that religion must change and advance with time in order to be beneficial and useful to the people of its time! I think the main reason for that is that we have lacked the presence of “Religious Scientists” with the knowhow and ability to carry out this task in all branches of religion throughout time!

And as for the challenges of our own Persian culture, It is very evident that we are a very smart and able people and when given the opportunity we tend to grow and flourish but I believe what has held our culture back us is our universal perspective and manner of basic ethics that has plagued us and held us c hostage and deprived us from cultural growth and greatness for many centuries. Despite the fact that we have been gifted with some of the most brilliant poets, philosophers and scientist throughout our history as those British remarks have mentioned, we still suffer from some deep cultural and ethical handicaps and to start with perhaps we so badly need to witness a “cultural revolution” before we can see any other form of political progress that would come close to any form of democracy!

I look at India and I admire how far they have come!

This reminds me of an old quote that sounded like something in the lines of:

“People get the type of government they deserve”

Like I mentioned, I don’t have all the answers, these are just some of the thoughts that come to mind!In hope of better and brighter days for us all.Cheers.X III

Just one point: I do not know Raoul very well nor do we always agree. I was making a point that he has a right to his posts. If you have been on IC for long you will find out there are those who do not respect the right to post.

Regarding your other points I mostly agree. We are not united nor do we work together. Both Hakhamanshi and Sassanid falls were results of us not working together. These are fully the fault of us. I often wonder how did a nation like Sassanids fold like that. How the provinces refused to help the central government. Now the few times we did work together we did fine. In the was with Iraq Iranians *did* work together and kept the nation together.  Yes it is possible for us to do well; we just need unity.

So I basically agree with things you say. I also fully oppose Islam and do blame it for much but not all of our problems.

I think you are a good guy and have very good points.

In regard to your buddy “Raoul”,

No mention of Raul not having the right to post on this site! Just commenting on his ignorant and arrogant point of view, it’s like you invite me to your house and I come in and eat your food and then tell you and your family: fuck you all…you all suck…fuck your country and your people to! Well if that’s ok with you, so be it! You can kiss his ass all you want, be my guest.

The point is that ALL of organized religion sucks now days, if one lies and kills and rapes so do the others, all the same, just a different name.  Why do you think they called “Organized Religion”? Why do they call large criminal groups “Organized Crime?

Organized  1. Functioning within a formal structure, as in the coordination and direction of activities.2. Affiliated in an organization, especially a union.3. Efficient and methodical

So I hope that you truly think that one is better than another, they are all influenced by politics with the same common objective of controlling minds, power and resources and will go to any length to achieve it!Singling out one and bashing a majority and one group especially those that are innocent and have a true attentions of worshiping their creator is a bunch of cowards BS, if you man enough and brave enough go after the source and confront and ridicule them ALL., cuz if someone came to my house and insulted me and my family, country and people I would be man enough to give them a kick in the ass, spit in their face and through them out!   You are free to pat them in the back, say thank you and please come back you are welcome any time.

And as for your comment on Britain:  We all know about their reputation and I’m no fan of the brits, but go take a look at the map of the world, look at the size of that island and compare it to the size of the map of Iran then ask yourself how old are these two cultures and how far back to they go in history, Iran has been around for 3000 years and how long have the brits been around? I’m sorry to admit it but for an Island that size to rule over and colonize so many countries for so long they must have been very SMART & UNITED! Ok let’s forget about the brits its has become very fashionable now days for Iranians to blame all of their cultural and political short comings on Islam and the Arab invasion, what about before the Arabs came? Look at the old map of Greece and look at the old map of the Persian empire how is it that a young boy still in his youth (Alexander) along with only 30,000 on horseback with light armored invaded Persian Empire as if a walk in the park and great Persian king of kings ends up being murdered by his own guards men in hope of a reward, well if you ask me brother there is something wrong with that picture in a major and deep way that culturally runs much deeper and further back than Islam and the Arab Invasion.

I would have to agree with “afshinaza” comment:

As long as Iranian don't understand fundamental of freedom and democracy and do not tolerate each other then there is a little hope for future.   (I would ad: taking responsibility and willing to pay for the cost of progress without short cuts and the willingness to follow law, system and order and a deep commitment to ethical values)

I see Dear British aka Angal don't like Iranians. They think we are all liars. How about they took a look at their own miserable selves! Who created more misery in the world than any other people: The British: Who institutionalized Racism: The British.

The whole list will go on more than I care to spend time on. It is ironic that the most despicable culture in the world does not like Iranians. Good! I take that as a compliment. The garbage that comes out of the British mind is a part of their natural racism and delusion of superiority. I love to see the horrid little Island overrun by Islamists! Serves them right.

If it were not for the wealth stolen from: Iran; India; Americas; and the rest of the world. The British would be nothing.

Raoul has  all the rights he needs to post here. I have heard these 90% numbers and don't care. If 90% think world is flat it don't make it so. Iranians have been spoon fed Islamic crap for 1400 years. Of course some have accepted the BS. Now the world is open and lies exposed. Hopefully more like me break out of the Islamist shell.

I thank Raoul for posting his views. Don't always agree but will defend his right. You can take your intolerance to BBC where it is accepted.

We all know that lying aka "Taggiyeh" is a part of Islam. Muslims are encouraged to lie. Why: because without lies few people are attracted to Islam. It is known as "bait and switch". You lie to get them to become Muslim. Then make them stay with the penalty of death. Cute?

Amigo,

You have some nerve posting your hateful comments on cultural site were 90% of its national population is made up of Muslims!

You sound like one of those Christian freaks that have been brain washed, instructed to take every opportunity to take a cowards jab at Islam and Muslims every chance they get, deceitful opportunist you are! I would advise you wash the refried beans of hate out of your ignorant brain and off your eyes and wake up!! With such comments of insult and hate you seem to be among the many ignorant that have not yet learned the difference between true spirituality/ethics and the many political versions of “political religion”, I truly feel sorry for your likes! The politically influenced crap that comes out of the mouth of some so called Christian preachers is no different than the crap that comes out of the mouth of the fanatic mullahs and there like.

How ignorant can you be? Have you studied history, do you think that aside from Islam, Christianity and Judaism have been the so pure religions of truth and justice? ;) have you forgotten that the so called the so called Christians pored hot lead down the thought of your ancestors in order to convert them into Christians? Have you forgotten that not so long ago in history scientists that contributed so much to humanity were being burned on the cross for deifying the church and its political power and influence over keeping the masses ignorant and obedient sheep with closed minds? Have you not read that first schools for modern medical science and medicine were originated and developed in Muslim countries while the so called Christians were still using leaches, mid evil practices such as burning and mutilating patients to draw out the evil spirits that they believed had possessed them and caused illness and that christen scientists had the to literally sneak into Muslim countries with deceive in order to learn the science of modern medicine and bring it back to Europe? Have you not read about all the wars and bloodshed of innocent people that brought about and established Judaism in history?

Why go so far, let’s look at our own American history and our Christian founding fathers, take a look back at the history of how California and some other states bordering Mexico came to be, it’s all evident in the still Hispanic names: “Los Angeles”, Mission Viejo, Santa Clarita, San Diego, Santa Maria, San Antonio and the list goes on amigo…this was all land taken over by Christians through hostile take over from other Christians and yet your brother Christians are still referred to as “illegal aliens” by other Christians and when you want to fill out any job application today at the end you have to verify your race by checking a box  “white, not Hispanic”, and yes your are living in a country that for the most part has and is ruled by Christian values, don’t you just love it ;))

Dude, I suggest you wake up and smell the coffee, open up your eyes and educate yourself, there is a big difference between those who worship and believing true spirituality and political and fanatic versions of religion, it’s not wise to generalize, don’t inherent other peoples believes that promote hate, investigate and find the truth on your own!

If you don’t like reading the least you can do is watch the history channel and then more!

By the way…I think your avatar compliments your line of thought ;))

And it’s so interesting and sad to see how they have managed to stay in power for so long and after so many lies and empty promises! And what have we learned from history?

I love our land, people and culture, I am no were close to having all the answers, I don’t tend to believe everything that I read or hear but I can’t help to wonder in awe and think about some of the things that I read,  finding out the truth about some topics, ideas and opinions can be so challenging, complex and baffling at times and at the same time accepting the truth may be so bitter that we simply chose to look the other way….and so I keep on wondering!

Thank you for the translation.
My understanding is that Islam encourages lying as Muhammad himself considered deception a 'weapon' against the infidels.

This should also serve as a wakeup call to those who support Islamic folks in America.
Cheers
