Canada announces closing Iran embassy [RAW VIDEO]:
Fri, Sep 7th, 2012: Canada has shuttered its embassy in Iran and is expelling all remaining Iranian diplomats from Canada. When asked to explain why Canada was leaving Iran now, Foreign Affairs minister John Baird pointed to a long list of offences the Iranian regime has committed against the global community.
Canada Closes Iranian Embassy & Gives Diplomats 5 Days to Leave The Country : TORONTO (AP) - Canada shut its embassy in Tehran on Friday, severed diplomatic relations and ordered Iranian diplomats to leave, accusing the Islamic Republic of being the most significant threat to world peace. The surprise action reinforces the Conservative government's close ties with Tehran's arch foe Israel but also removes some of Washington's eyes and ears inside the Iranian capital.

The Toronto International Film Festival announced this year's award winners and moviegoers in the Great White North have once again found a way to influence the always competitive Oscar race. David O. Russell's adaptation ofMatthew Quick's novel "The Silver Linings Playbook" won the notable People's Choice Award this year. Ben Affleck's "Argo" and Eran Rikli's "Zaytoun" were first and second runners up. "Playbook" now joins "Slumdog Millionaire," "The King's Speech" and "Precious" as recent awards season players who were able to snag the festival's most publicity worthy honor.
