Hollywood's Iconic Star Elizabeth Taylor visits Iran and Stops at Isfahan's Chehel Setoon ( aka 40 Pillars) a splendour of Safavid Architecture.  But as You can see in the photo with a huge movie Star of International status as Taylor was at the time even a Private Visit doesn't pass unnoticed ...

Taylor was a good friend of Iran's US Ambassador Ardeshir Zahedi whom she courted for a brief period in the 1970's shortly after her divorce with Richard BurtonLegend say's that Cleopatra, hid herself in a Persian carpet and it was presented to Caesar by one of her servants. When she rolled out of the carpet, Caesar was charmed.

Thanks DK for your clips I really enjoy them ... Those were the golden glorious days of iran were ppl were happy & joyfull.. nobody told them what to do, drink eat or think .... man i wish i was born before this islamo-communist revolution ... i wish ... at least enjoyed the glorious iran for a brief time ... biggest US celebrity visiting iran OMG ... now who visits iran .. terrorists from here & there (hamas hezbulla, islamic jihad alqaida moqtada sadr) & bunch of political hooligans like chavez, ortega , bashar assad & likes ... where all that glory gone .. today is like as if iran never existed ... forgotten & deserted & thrown & kicked around like a bag of garbage ... BUT I AM STILL HOPEFULL ...
