Blackhearted blogger
by Marc Almerca (not verified) on Mon Mar 23, 2009 02:06 AM PDTHe is not mentally ill, because people with mental diseases are not evil. They are just sick. This one is a blackhearted man, one of the birds of muddiness Bahá'u'lláh said should arrive, especially in the countries of wealth. The raspy croaking of raven is an anthem to the atheism. And I am sorry to say that this blackhearted blogger seems to be from Sweden or at least Scandinavian – countries of wealth and atheism. Nothing is sacred. Nothing is precious. Nothing is beautiful. We will see more of these dark birds, but they will be gone when the day of the new world order dawns.

Oh, and by the way, why don't you get a life and stop harassing people! What is it your business what people want to believe. Who made you GOD?

by necademic (not verified) on Thu Dec 25, 2008 08:28 AM PSTThis is disgusting and ridiculous at the same time, a shame that the moderators allow such insults. I can not but post these lines by 'Abdu'l-Baha, son and follower of Baha'u'llah, to remind some Iranians who spread hatred, what they *were* and *are* presently:
"O people of Persia! Look into those blossoming pages that tell of another day, a time long past. Read them and wonder; see the great sight. Iran in that day was as the heart of the world; she was the bright torch flaming in the assemblage of mankind. Her power and glory shone out like the morning above the world's horizons, and the splendor of her learning cast its rays over East and West...
O people of Persia! Awake from your drunken sleep! Rise up from your lethargy! Be fair in your judgment: will the dictates of honor permit this holy land, once the wellspring of world civilization, the source of glory and joy for all mankind, the envy of East and West, to remain an object of pity, deplored by all nations? She was once the noblest of peoples: will you let contemporary history register for the ages her now degenerate state? Will you complacently accept her present wretchedness, when she was once the land of all mankind's desire? Must she now, for this contemptible sloth, this failure to struggle, this utter ignorance, be accounted the most backward of nations?"
(Abdu'l-Baha, The Secret of Divine Civilization, p. 6-7, 8-9)
Let move on

Whats with the miracle?
by Seagull (not verified) on Thu Dec 25, 2008 04:31 AM PSTCovenant, even Satan is capable of doing miracle that is why he is so deceiving. Miracle was reserved for the unwilling masses to see to believe not to understand and then believe. Humanity just was not there. So you can say miracles gathered quick followers. Still once Moses delivered his people by opening the sea, shortly after they were worshiping the golden calf while he was receiving the 10!
Jesus brought dead back to life yet he went on the cross and submitting to the cross was a greater miracle of him. Who knows what happened to the dead who was given life. Surely he died again, so what was the purpose just to convince the few who saw the miracle and spread it by the word of mouth. But Jesus wanted the Word to spread, the miracle of his words.
Mohammad, I am not sure if there was such a claim of miracle.
On the meaning of COVENANT; in simple terms,
God promised, (Covenant with man) that he will be with us, so he visits us and gives of of the miracles of his words. There would not have been a covenant if he did not show up from time to time.
If your parents loved you they would give you a call every now and then just to show that love and a gift or 2 would show that they were serious. Do you expect God to have shown up one time to Abraham and then goodbye!
And remember, only the prophet's follower's can disgrace him not anyone else. Look at the damage done to Mohammad by his ardent followers.
We are not moved to grief by your hate, although you have no right to infringe on the rights of a peaceful creed, and you will have to justify your hateful acts by something more than the free speech excuse. Your intentions will be judged not your whim.
Here is a miracle for you, you can prostitute art in the name of free speech and there is no fatva against you. Although your accountability is not absolved and Gods spontaneous justice has already singled you out to represent HATE.

Re: Unseen pictures of Baha'u'llah
by Jim (not verified) on Wed Dec 24, 2008 07:10 PM PSTNothing is sacred in this age!!! Everything is subject to belittling in the name of humor. No one person or group is exempt from this. It really is sad. In a world that is filled with such prejudice, hatred, & fanaticism, it saddens me to see time wasted in pursuits such as this!!!
Under the tab "About Us" it states: "Iranian.com is a community site for the Iranian diaspora -- the Iranian expatriates who care about their identity, culture, music, history, politics, literature and each other, as well as friends and family living in Iran." Well....I imagine many Iranian Baha'is view this site as well as they are part of the identity, culture, history...of Iran too!!!! Why would you publish such a sad attempt at humor that would no doubt be disturbing to many of your devouted readership?
If your attempt is to celebrate the Iranian culture you should look with an unbiased eye at the impact Baha'u'llah has had in the world. His teachings of brotherhood and peace have been accepted by over 6 million people who have taken these teachings to heart and live lives of peace and harmony with all people. This is a direct result of following Baha'u'llah. You should be proud that one of your countrymen has had such a profound impact in the world.
If the objective of Mr. Javid's forum is to "provide a free forum for the introduction, exchange and collection of ideas, stories, images and music related to Iran and Iranians", then this blog attempt has sorely failed.
If it is your hope that "the new-and-improved Iranian.com will become a greater community resource", then I highly recommend offering constructive submissions to the blog respectful of all Iranians.
Unseen pictures
by Sword of Rostam (not verified) on Wed Dec 24, 2008 06:28 PM PSTIts funny, how one person was killed because he made a movie about Islam from what he felt was the truth, how there was calls for the death of others who drew or published a cartoon of the prophet and how more than anything Moslems give themselves the right to make fun of others while they are the most intolerant when some one makes fun of anything Islamic.
Free speech is good as it shows ignorance when something is abused and hatred and bigotry is exposed, These pictures are great for the comments they have generated, the Bahai's thrive on such attacks, and they believe pictures are not to be viewed at other than just pictures. Bahai's do not have the cross, nor symbols that generate passions,The heart is what they ago after and that can not be made fun of. These are just pictures meant to attack the Bahai's , what the person who drew them does not know is that these are the last desperate attempts of darkness keeping away the light. Check out what the other attacks have done. //ca.youtube.com/watch?v=UewNuSRDH6w
We are all Bahai's we are all Iranians, we are all children of Cyrus. We should all stand for each other and when the rest of my Iranian countrymen have the guts to stand up and say "we are all Bahai's" then will the darkness end.
Regards to all

These pictures are hurtful,
by Ali Najafi (not verified) on Wed Dec 24, 2008 03:32 PM PSTThese pictures are hurtful, but I am not an advocate of censorship. However, I think each writer/editor needs to act in a responsible manner.
Additionally, each writer needs to reach deep into themselves and understand their motives for the words or, in this case, pictures that they illustrate. If their motives, as in the case of Covenant, are to be cruel and to hurt others, it speaks to the condition of their own mind and state of being. In my mind, these pictures are no less hurtful than the depictions of the Prophet Muhammad in the press or for that matter, any other slander against a spiritual, social, or philosophical leader.
This stated, the response of the readers/viewers -- whether Bahais, Muslims, Christians, Jews, agnostics, atheists -- should be in a manner that is dignified and that does not mirror the same cruelty and hateful behavior that Covenant has shown.

Covenant you are nothing
by Tahirih on Wed Dec 24, 2008 12:03 PM PSTI bet my life that you are nothing, not a good Muslim, not a good christian , not a good Zoroastrian , not a good Jew or not a good atheist, because a good atheist will believe in humanity.
You are a sad sadistic, psychopath.A person who have never experienced love, or compassion. A" thing " who is so bitter and hateful that is numb to any kind of goodness.
I can picture you sitting and posting this disgusting thing against prince of peace, king of kings, a symbol of love and humanity, and worms crawling your decayed mind and body.
Be assured that not a speck of dust will stain him or his followers by this criminal act. I call it criminal, since bahais are still oppressed and killed in Iran. It is as if Nazi sympathisers posting garbage like this when they were killing Jews. Oh , wait a minute you do not believe in holocaust!!!
No Bahai has ever laughed at belittling Rassole Akram, ever. I have to say that we always defend him , in Muslims social gatherings and on this site. it is some of his followers with their actions that needed to be belittled not him.
God will deal with you soon, what is it that you like the most? It will be destroyed soon:)))

by IRANdokht on Wed Dec 24, 2008 12:01 PM PSTIt's established (as passionately as you put it) that there are religion bashing blogs, articles and pictures on this website. But you conveniently overlook the fact that each of them has faced opposing views and negative reactions.

YES. YES. YES. YES.
Are you freaking kidding me? Well maybe not "nobody" but there is enough to go around, including Mr. JJ himself who is in a league of his own when it comes to publishing anti-Islam crap.
and if you're going to say no and give your speech, save it. There are hundreds (if not thousands) of blogs, article, videos, pictures and other stuff in this website bashing Islam. Any kind of hate speech should be banned but it isn't. So don't cry me river, not that you are, but don't act as all surprised. Oh my! yeah right.

Bashing Islam left and right
by Freedom of hate speech (not verified) on Wed Dec 24, 2008 11:30 AM PSTBashing Islam left and right is ok and featured over and over and over again. But bashing other religions is a sin! Where are these people when Muhammad is bashed? Cheering on and making hate speeches and being encouraged to bash more. Hate speech is good only for Islam and Muhammad.
"group of people who aren't hurting anyone?" What about group of people from that other faith who aren't hurting anyone?

by IRANdokht on Wed Dec 24, 2008 11:08 AM PSTI am with Paymaneh on this one. Allowing this blog to be published is one thing, but featuring it is totally unnecessary and sends an unpleasant signal. As you have mentioned before, you always tried to feature original, well-written and interesting blogs, why allow this nonsense on the first page?

On Hate Art
by Paymaneh Amiri on Wed Dec 24, 2008 11:05 AM PSTIf only everyone chose art to express their opinions, we could be walking on fair and balanced terrain in this world. I would then follow your link and look at your suggested art.
When the IRI has ended its systematic mistreatment and genocide-like activities against the Bahais, we might be more receptive to viewing art critical of them. Until then, watching this artist's expression of hate against a group whose basic human rights have been systematically violated for 30 years is no fun at all. It feels criminal. It is criminal.
You have very bad taste. I didn't follow your link.
