a Bahai tale ...
by Shahriar1 (not verified) on Sat Jan 26, 2008 02:39 PM PSTDear fellow hamvatan, like you I am an Iranian, meaning: I love the dirt, and meadow, and the city, and the mountain, and the house, and the land, and the cry and the laughter and the giggle, and growth, and the fame, and the pride, and the custom, and that smart ta’a’ruf of Iran and the Iranians. What I don't like is how the injustice has overrun Iran and Iranians from inside and the outside. There is no point in crying out about what has befallen the Bahais of Iran. Bahais chose to take the harsh path. I get really upset when the story of the Bahais of Iran gets politicized by all enemies of Iran. Who cares about Mullahs! regimes come and go. Today “Jomhuriye Islami”, tomorrow, God knows what. In short, every follower of true religions of God has suffered in the early stages of every new religion. We have lasted 160 years under much much harsher persecutions, and I believe we would last another thousand years, with or with out the persecution of Islamic regime. Our truth is irrelevant to the politic of the time. Nonetheless, our truth is relevant to the development of the world and in particular our country of birth Iran. If our existence does not bring about any change and does not influence the Iranian society in achieving highest standards of human dignity, then our existence is irrelevant. I believe my Bahai fellows, perhaps, are trying to tell you what we believe in rather that whining for their own harsh reality. Depriving Bahais, or any other human body from any social right that is suppose to be bestowed upon all citizens alike is of importance because the dignity of this nation is of importance. Retracting the human rights of a group such as Iranian Bahais diminishes that dignity. God bless Iran

by Kafka (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 09:16 PM PSTOh my dear one,
I meant how do you know that there is only ONE god? I believe that there are several gods and goddess who have the same characteristic as your single god!
And I'm not doing propaganda on this website like you are doing.
As a Bahai, why do you feel the need to do publicity for your religion, which is another patriarchal institution. We know all about your organized religion. Give us a break, will you? You are behaving like the Jehovah's Witnesses, showing up on every single article.
I cry for you!!!!!!!!!!
by Seagull (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 08:21 PM PSTAnd he is looking for Mahdi!
Now doesnt "like a thief in the night", (the second coming) make sense?!
To:Kafka **** One Divine Being
by Mona 19 (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 07:14 PM PSTMY dear one
What I meant to say was God, ultimate Reality, Creator of the universe, Whose nature is unknowable and inaccessible to humankind.
God reigns over all the nations of the world and has pleasure in all His children.
All men are of ONE FAMILY; the CROWN of HUMANITY rests on the head of EVERY HUMAN BEING.
In the eyes of the Creator all His children are EQUAL; His goodness is poured forth on ALL. He does not FAVOR this nation nor that nation, all alike are His creatures. This being so, why should we make divisions, separating one race from another?
Why should we create barriers of SUPERSTITION and TRADITION bringing discord and hatred among the people?
Have a good day
Regard,
Mona

by Kafka (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 05:31 PM PSTWhy divers shades of temperament, character and thought should be brought together under the power and influence of ONE central agency? What's wrong with the influence of varieties of gods and goddess? Monotheism reflects an authoritarian mind-set that belongs to class and male-dominant socities.
U r Right, Kamangir ( Unity in diversity)
by Mona 19 (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 02:35 PM PSTConsider the flowers of a garden. Though differing in kind, color, form and shape, yet, inasmuch as they are refreshed by the waters of one spring, revived by the breath of one wind, invigorated by the rays of one sun, this diversity increaseth their charm and addeth unto their beauty.
How unpleasing to the eye if all the flowers and plants, the leaves and blossoms, the fruit, the branches and the trees of that garden were all of the same shape and color! Diversity of hues, form and shape enricheth and adorneth the garden, and heighteneth the effect thereof.
In like manner, when divers shades of thought, temperament and character, are brought together under the power and influence of one central agency, the beauty and glory of human perfection will be revealed and made manifest.
Regard,
Mona
Bahais and Zartoshtis and
by Kamangir on Fri Jan 18, 2008 02:20 PM PSTBahais and Zartoshtis and all others live side by side and in peace in a country like India, in the West and elsewhere, however it's only in muslim nations where they are discriminated against, tortured and killed. Muslim hardliners are not suffering in Iran, all others do. One day the situation will be reversed.

God is the great Physician
by Mona 19 (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 12:40 PM PSTTo: Anonymous22
You Said:""If Islam were to be reformed or enlightened..."
My Dear one,
God is the great Physician Who alone can rightly diagnose the world’s sickness and prescribe the appropriate remedy.
The remedy prescribed in one age is no longer suitable in a later age, when the condition of the patient is different.
To cling to the old remedy when the physician has ordered new treatment is not to show faith in the physician, but infidelity.
Regard,
Mona
F*cking Muslims
by NR (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 12:17 PM PSTI don't give a damn about muslims or their retarded profit but it's their business. Not allowing Bahais go to college or get decent jobs is a crime.
Ahmadijejad does not deserve the air he breaths.

Born Muslim and making fun of them any second that I can. Freaks!
If Islam were to be reformed
by Anonymous22 (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 12:08 PM PSTIf Islam were to be reformed or enlightened it would look pretty much like the Bahai religion; hence, the severest punishment is reserved for them because that is the scariest thing to mullahs, "reformed Islam".

Re:Plight: Bahais are "activley" persecuted, because....
by faryarm on Fri Jan 18, 2008 10:25 AM PSTYou state that all suffer equally in Iran..
With respect: NOT TRUE
Bahais have Absolutely no legal Rights..In case you dont read the news..
They are actively pursued and denied rights...The Mullahs can not answer them philosophically, as the Bahais are in General exemplary citizens of Iran.
The rise and recogntion of Bahais in Iran would mean the demise of the Mullah and the rise of independent thinking and personal emphasis on religion.

PLIGHT
by Anonymous IRANIAN (not verified) on Fri Jan 18, 2008 09:40 AM PSTWITH ALL DUE RESPECT TO ALL THE RELIGIOUS MINORITIES IN IRAN, BUT PLEASE DONT MAKE IT SOUND LIKE THE MUSLIMS GET EVERYTHING THEY WANT IT'S JUST THE BAHAIS THAT ARE BEING BOTHERED. EVERYONE IS AN EQUAL VICTIM IN IRAN OF MISMANAGEMENT AND CRONYISM. THE SUFFERING OF BAHAIS AND JEWS SHOULDN'T MATTER MORE. ALL IRANIANS ARE SUFFERING. THE PROBLEM IN IRAN IS NOT A RELIGIOUS PROBLEM. THE ENTIRE COUNTRY HAS BEEN VICTIMIZED. NO ONES PLIGHT IS MORE SACRED THAN THE NEXT. IF YOU PUT IT IN PERSPECTIVE MORE MUSLIMS HAVE BEEN TORTURED AND EXECUTED THAN ANY OTHER RELIGOUS MINORITY EVEN IF YOU ADJUST FOR THEIR POPULATION. SO PLEASE, KEEP IT IN PERSPECTIVE.
