the title of the post says shirintareen, but if you had watched the clip you'd know the questions included the saddest memories too.

I am not saying they had to respond in such way as I mentioned before, I am merely pointing out that in a country with so many bad news, people could not possibly mention even one of them. They are kept in a financial constraint in a way that a whole family was riding on a bike, and the worst 1356 incident of one of those guys was a 4000 toman ticket that he received. It's probably a "tragedy" for that guy which speaks of the widespread poverty, but when shown on TV the way it was, it gives the illusion that the only troublesome event of one's life was a mere $5 ticket. That's propoganda.

I agree with you and as I said I am not surprised about the type of answers the people gave this TV interviewer, nor do I blame them. Of course the brutal atmosphere the IRI regime has created would not allow anyone to speak of the travesties and the criminal actions.

Personally I am not into the "shootoole malang" as you call it, but I can't blame the Iranians who go on with their lives in Iran or abroad either. We've all been through a lot and although suffering in different ways, we're forced to also live our every day lives.

C'est la vie...

the name of the SUBJECT is SHIREEEEEENTAREEEEEEN khatereye sale 1386!!!! and yet u still want people to talk about BAD THINGS! its a new year. relax. let them live their lives.

last time people told us to get political, look what we ended up with. something worse. how do you know something worse wont come AGAIN ? like american invasion creating anarchy? or mojahadeen filling power vacuum in a chaotic situation since they are the most ruthless and then declare martial law and create a state 1000 times worse, cuz even under these mullahs theres a limited freedom and elections, etc.

I agree with you. However; when we, the one s abroad travel to Iran constantly as tourists, by holding that government's passport, as well; when we ve constantly behave ourselves like happy and cheerful citizens of a problem free country like Iran, by gathering weekend after weekend for 'shootoole malang' bazi in Iranian concerts. When for many of us, the prospect of a prosperous Iran is troubeling, mainly because it may devaluate the value of our second countries... what can we expect from our fellow citizens in Iran itself.

When Iran was being bombed by Iraq, these 'shootoole malang' baziha here, were as active as ever. You, I and many others may not be like that, but believe me, if you lived here in this Vancouver, you would see what I mean. I have much more faith in the people of Iran, that still live there, they are the real Iranians.

not surprising

I didn't expect anyone to say the worst day was when I heard Makwan Moloudzadeh was executed in prison, or the day I learned the Iranian journalists were arrested, or when the young kurdish or balouch were killed...  Nobody said anything about the public hangings, the students harrassed and beaten, the violent riot at the women's gathering...

this is definitely not anything but propaganda... they spread the illusion of normalcy in the country using their government controlled media.
