Saeed Shirzad: Prisoner of the day
HRANA: On Tuesday, August 21, 2012, Intelligence forces from the city of Ahar in Azerbaijan arrested Saeed Shirzad, a human rights activist who specializes in children's rights.
Saeed Shirzad and two other activists had gone to Varzaghan, a village destroyed by the recent earthquake, to provide relief to residents when they were arrested and transferred to an unknown location. The two other activists were released immediately.
It is not yet clear on what charges Saeed Shirzad's arrest was made.
During the past week at least five activists who had gone to the region to provide disaster relief have been arrested by intelligence and security forces.
Saeed Shirzad is a dedicated children's rights advocate whose articles have appeared in many websites.

سحام نيوز: خبرهای دريافتی سحام حاکی از بازداشت تنی چند از اين فعالان در انبار کالاهای تهيه شده برای زلزله زدگان در شهر هريس است.
بنا بر اخبار رسيده از مناطق زلزله زده آذربايجان، نيروهای امنيتی ساعاتی پيش با حمله به کمپ های کمک رسانی مردمي، اقدام به تهديد به بازداشت برخی نيروهای امدادگر داوطلب کرده اند که از شهرهای مختلف به قصد امداد و ياری آسيب ديدگان، به اين منطقه آمده اند.
به گزارش سحام، آخرين اسامی بازداشت شده ها تاکنون، به قرار زير است:
نويد خانجاني، واحد خلوصي، شايان وحدتي، شيما قوشه، ميثاق افشار، حسن رونقی ملکي، وحيد روحاني، مازيار اسماعيل پور، مرتضی اسماعيل‌پور، حميد رضا مسيبيان، علی محمدي، محسن صائمي، مسعود وفابخش، هومن طاهري، دانيال حسيني، نفيسه شهيد فر، بهرام شجاعي، محمد ارجمندی راد، اسماعيل سلمانپور، باغبان باشي، نرگس خيراللهي، مهدی صالحي، بهروز علوي، ميلاد پناهي‌پور، سپهرداد صاحبان، اسماعيل رفعتي، امير رونقي، زهرا فياض، جعفر غلامي، کيانا کريمپور، فرناز احمدزاده، آرتميس ورزنده، مهرناز احمدزاده، امين رونقي، ريحانه حسامي، احمد رونقی ملکی (پدر حسين رونقی ملکی)، علی تقديري، اميرکلهر، سپهرداد صاحبان و صادق رضايی گيگلو.
خبرهای رسيده به سحام، حکايت از اعتصاب غذای برخی از دستگيرشدگان دارد. بنا به اين گزارش ميلاد پناهی پور، نويد خانجاني، واحد خلوصي، ميثاق افشار، هومن طاهري، سپهرداد صاحبان و حسين رونقی ملکی در اعتراض به اين بازداشت غيرقانوني، دست به اعتصاب غدا زده اند.
برخی منابع خبر از بازداشت و آزادی احمد رونقی ملکي، پدر حسين رونقي؛ در همان ابتدا، داده اند.

امدادگران داوطلب و فعالان دانشجويی و مدنی حاضر در کمپ داوطلبان برای کمک های مردمی به زلزله زدگان آذربايجان بازداشت شدند.
آخرين خبر رسيده به کلمه (ساعت دو و نيم بامداد) حاکی از بازداشت دسته جمعی امدادگران داوطلب و فعالان دانشجويی و مدنی حاضر در کمپ داوطلبان برای کمک های مردمی به زلزله زدگان آذربايجان است. هنوز از تعداد بازداشت شدگان و سرنوشت آنها خبری در دست نيست و فعلا تمام ارتباطات با افراد حاضر در محل قطع شده است.
در آخرين ارتباطات فعالان مذکور تاکيد کرده بودند که در صورت بازداشت دست به اعتصاب غذای دسته جمعی خواهند زد.

Could it be because he is against child labour, has been campaigning for implementation of laws protecting Iranian children from sexual and other forms of abuse? Or could it be because of human rights activism?
Anywhere else in the world he would be a very respected member of society. But in islamist republic of rape, torture, theft and murder, he is put behind bars.

Iranians of all walks of life taking a stand for their freedom and just rights. They are to be commanded and supported by all freedom loving folks.
Iranians need to stand united in their support for these brave souls, support their goals and aspiration for a free independent and prospers Iran.
Foreign nations which thru their apartheid policy practice the same insanity and unjust detentions cannot be a good example for the future of Iran and need not to apply.
