It's Most Unfortunate ....

that most of Shirin Ebadi's detractors, especially those Monarchists, with their bankrupt ideologies, keep dreaming in the La-La land of restoring the Monarchy -

They have quite conveniently forgotten that the Shah, in the midst of all of the troubles back in 1979, fled the country - A Total Coward - Following that, all his Generals were one by one arrested, and subsequently executed -

Does anyone believe that our beloved Iranians would ever have these lot (the Pahlavis) back - As many have indicated, it's perhaps more likely that the twelfth Imam return and re-appear first before the Pahlavis do -

It's Really That Simple :) !

P.S. One Final Word - I can't believe how anyone, man or woman,  with any amount of self respect and/or dignity support this failed family of the Pahlavis -

As I have indicated earlier, in our beloved Iran's hour of need, its last ruler, the Shah, fled the country - Simply put, he didn't have the cojones to stand up to the Mullahs -

Some of these Monarchists claim that in Britain, 400 years ago, Charles II was restored back to the throne after his father Charles I was executed 16 years earlier - I'm very familar with the British system as I used to live there for many years -

My suggestion to these Monarchits lots is: "Grow Up" and "Get A Life" :) ! Much has changed in the past 400 years - This fantasyland of restoring the Monarchy is just that - A Childish Fantasy - A Delusion - Unless of course, you are being handsomely compensated for spewing out such garbage in the pages of Iranian.com -

These Monarchists have a particular knack for attacking those who are trying to argue with them - I guess, they are indeed their own worst enemies - For people can see them for what they are - Truly obnoxious and unreasonable at best :) !

The future of Iran rests in getting rid of the Mullahs, and installing some form of a Parliamentary system - Regretfully, those feeble-minded people who believe the Monarchy would be restored in Iran, have absolutely no idea of the Realities as they exist in Iran today- If they take the time of actually going to Iran, rather than sitting comfortably in Paris, they would see everything for themselves -

Please Grow Up And Get A Life - If For Noone Else's Sake, Then For Your Own :) - !

• Shepeesh jan have a sense of humor. I have a right to my eslah why does it bother you :-) Read my post on Ebadi on //iranian.com/main/blog/shazde-asdola-mir... to see what I mean about her. Was never a big fan but she may yet end up saving Iran.
• No doubt Ebadi is the voice of some people. Good for them. At least she does not claim to be the "President" of Iran so I give her credit.

On another thread Mehraban asked: what happens after IRI falls. Ebadi is a potential leaders for an interim government. I am not a big fan of her but she is reasonably sane. And may provide a good way to transition from VF to a real democracy.

Great Woman

Great woman for her courage and accomplishments.  It is so sad that this web site has so many ignorant people on it.  The audacity to criticise her for not going all out and be executed by the regime?!!!  To criticize her for saying the truth about the Palestinians!  The world is in color my friends and you see only black and white.  My recommendation is for you guys to show some courage and go back to Iran and do what you expect her to do.  You guys are only a bunch of spoiled, silly and pretentious bunch who have not done a thing for Iran except to make off the beat remarks about those that fight tyranny.  Shame on you.

Mrs. Ebadi took advantage of all opportunities provided to her in both  regimes, Pahlavi as well as Mullahs. Yet, after 24 years of brutality against women, children, minorities, and many other Iranians; at 2003 Nobel Cermony when the world was watching, she represented the first moslem woman to receive Nobel, and defended Palestinian women and children!

She and other forsattalabs like melli-mazhabies, eslah-talabs, etc. cooperated with the revolutionary extrimists, until they had no power, and it was too late.
