Yes, by raising taxes and initiating social programs that merely provides funding to further enable the problem (for example, welfare) while never actually solving the problem.

Insurance companies are running health care right now, and we all see how disastrous that is. What makes you think the government can possibly do any better? Everything else they have managed has been an unmitigated disaster.

Education?

The most Democrats have done is advocate free or inexpensive school lunches. Keep in mind that the free lunches are provided by food suppliers that are always in the politcian's district/constituency, and that they are HUGE contributors to any campaign.

I like his policies most, and he is the most courageous among the candidates who has been open about what he thinks. I also like it that he is a religious man. I am not a religious man myself, from a Shia Muslim family, but I think religion is good as long as it is not imposed and it stays tolerant. As long as religion is a spiritual thing it is better than the lack of it. And Huckabee's programs, especially about small government and abolishing the IRS (internal revenue serive) and introducing the consumption tax are just fantastic, if accomplished.
