No Hostility!

by ng (not verified) on

I am not being Hostile! I actually enjoyed the performances and a surprisingly well put together piece! I am just mentioning that there is no recognition of her anywhere and that is just not fare to her. I also like to know who she is so I can check her other materials!

chill

i'm amazed at your hostility and critique of the video and artist. why not enjoy and see the positive: (1) a beautiful song, (2) two people singing in languages that are not their mother-tongues (by the way, she is russian not spanish, no name though, see his website //www.shahkar.net/news.htm), (3) and it brings two cultures together; meaning that people from both cultures can share, listen, and enjoy the words; of course that would only happen if you allow it.... Also, what's so wrong with redoing a song in another language instead of creating a new song? Furthermore, we are only seeing a clip, we don't know the context and what was said at the event and who got credit before and after the actual performance. How do you know that he, himself, put his name on the cliop??? Maybe someone else made the clip and put his name only because she may not be fully discovered yet. who knows... Obviously, he thought quite highly of her to want to perform with her or he would have done the whole song in spanish and persian/farsi by himself!!! I'm just saying, don't try to breakdown someone without having credible evidence to support your accusatory statements....

Too Bad

by ng (not verified) on

I agree.
I like this cooperation. It is well done and well performed. Persian lyrics are good and matches the music.
Too bad that Mr. Bineshpajouh or anybody on his staff or his website does not acknowledges the outstanding work done by the Spanish singer. She not only performs the song with passion but she has a very goo voice and does justice to the lyrics. I hope that Mr. Bineshpajouh give her the credit due!
I actually like to know who she is too.

Re: Rip Off

by Rahgozar (not verified) on

It's always better to come up with an original piece. There is nothing wrong though w/ a remake(copy if you so wish) IF the intention, apart from the joy of listening, is to influence, or rather reflect, the great tendency of modernism among farsi-speaking population worldwide.

The thing is, once you remake a hit, you better do it better than original or else who cares. FYI: J-Lo's hit (What did you do) is NOT original either. I can't pin-point the original but will post it once I figure it out.

Anyhow, the 'glamorous setting' in this video, 'hand-in-the-pocket-while-singing' does not make this remake any better than the original. They are rather nonsense attempt to glorify Bineshpajouh's work and it also indicates his lack of performance skill.

Well, whatever it is, I won't listen to it again. By the way, when it comes to music, neither me nor most people get excited about the nationality of the performer, nor its 'glamorous setting' or the 'tons of girls' it has incorporated in it. We listen to enjoy. Make it fun and bearable, spice it w/ modern setting of life. Simple.

alexandra : Rip Off

by Rambunctious (not verified) on

alexandra there is such a thing as a cover, it means that an artist takes a song from another artist and re-preforms it in their own style, its perfectly legal and fine. Also the Youtube video didn't give much information about if they gave credits to J-lo or not and it wasn't posted by the artist on Youtube anyway, so just chill and enjoy it i think this version is better than the J-lo one.

much love, mickeyjello!

As for Spanish... lets put

by Anonymous2 (not verified) on

As for Spanish... lets put it at an "attempt" at spanish.

So what was this event?

How come the girl is not credited?

As for Shahkar, I prefered his early "humor" rap than his attepts at being a serious artist.

rip off

by alexandra (not verified) on

This song is originally by Jennifer Lopez. It's on her CD "Como Ama Una Mujer"(how a woman loves), and the title of the song is "Que Hiciste"(what did you do). In case you didn't know, the original song is in Spanish and it was written by Mark Anthony,
J. Rayes, and J. Romero. The CD was released in 2007 (I think). It infuriates me to see our Iranian musicians copying the works of other artists then trying to pass it off as their own! It's quite often I'll hear an "Iranian" song and think to my self it sounds familiar, only to later realize it's a copy of a Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, etc artist. It must be easier to insult your public's intelligence and pass something off as your own instead of putting the work into making original music. What a disappointment. My only hope is that he's given J.Lo credit for this song. FYI: check out the original on youtube, it's much nicer!
