Safoura Safavi

Abjeez vocalist sings “Vose sempre amado”

Two Abjeez members, Safoura Safavi (on Cajon/percussion) and Johan Moberg (left guitarist) along with flamenco guitarist Javier Lozano Romero (right guitarist) performing a song written and composed by Safoura. The song is in Spanish/Portuguese, called “Vose sempre amado” (You are always missed). This presentation was recorded in Sevilla/Spain in winter of 2008. Safoura studied flamenco guitar in Fundacion Christina Heren/Spain, where normally women practice vocals and dance. Safoura was the lone female guitarist in her school, in a traditionally male dominated culture.

Qute from a good friend:

"The viewer who said you should open your eyes and (relate to the audience) while singing is obviously not a flamenco lover— I don't recall that Cameron de la Isla made all that much eye contact when he performed."

No doubt that Safoura is talented, but wouldn't it be nice if she kept her eyes open and made eye contact with her audience?
