I totally agree with you. Creativity hasn't died in Iran and Iranian youth are fighting their way in this world towards being recognized as one of the most valuable despite the circumstances and the "dictatorship" reigning in Iran. Why is it so hard to give them credit and respect? It is only by supporting them that we could hope one day...one day we will see also social and political improvement in our homeland. Iranians' achievements are forever, IRI is NOT!

Hey "XreXes", Did You Get a Chance to Consider My Proposal?

by Anonymous Observer on

On another thread, I posted a proposal for you to do a project.  I never heard back from you. Here's the link:

 //iranian.com/main/singlepage/2008/death-dictator

Can you please tell me if you're willing to participate in this project so that we can prove all these Zionists, Shahis, etc. wrong about the the things that they say about our beloved IRI?

They do make refinaries and also build it for other countries too. They are making refineries but it takes a long time to make one. In the US they have lack of refineries also and it takes US many years, to build a large size refinery, and even then they don't because its costly.
Iran can build anything now. We are self sufficient. Fully
We can feed our selves and build anything. Not as good sometimes but we do have the techonology and know how.

Har har har.. we'll see!

This is actually a major achievement. Anyone that pokes fun of this is probably not educated enough to realize what opportunities have just been opened to Iran that makes it even more independent than ever.
US and the Soviets were also behind in this technology till German scientists gave out blueprints and worked with the Superpowers to get where they are. Even then the Americans were behind USSR racing for the moon. People laughed at China and India years a go too … with Iran my guess is not too many countries are laughing now.

My Answer:  My guess is (and I am pretty sure I am on the dot!)  they are unaccomplished people with a poor level of self-confidence.  They've never taken anything serious in life, have always been on the sidelines and anything they look at in life they have to ridicule; and that's really a sign of their weekness.

Surprisingly though, the majority of these people are Pahlavi sympathizers during whose 50 year reign Iran didn't achieve anything of significance and didn't contribute to the humanity.  Had it not been for the massive oil revenues, a large sum of which by the way, was stolen by the Pahlavi clan for their current lavish lifestyles, Iran would still be as unknown a place as Persia is.

What is even more pathetic than the old school royalists is that their offsprings are even more dillusional because all they know about Iran is accounts of Iran's "glorious" and lost past that's been passed on to them by their parents/grand parents.  So, while these young people are driving down the road with the latest/greatest sports car money can by (with a sticker that says "Proud to be a Persian"), the Iranian youth inside Iran are designing/building spaceships!

So, I say let these sideliners be because they are harmless except for the occassional (annoying) buzzing sound they emit!

Its really trivial to make fun of this, it is an achievement for them. All the great journeys start with a step and the bonus is that they are not threatened with annihilation.

If they are so advanced in

by sickofhubris (not verified) on

If they are so advanced in technology, then why is it that they cannot make their own refinaries?

If they are so advanced in technology, then why is it that they are still using 60-year old, antiquated oil infrastructurte where they lose more than 3 million dollars a day due to leaks in crude oil extraction?

If they are so advanced in technology, then why is it that they need Chinese to develop their gas fields?

If they are so advanced in tecnology, then why is it that they cannot even make an their own car engines for the Khodro and they have to buy Pegeout's engine from France?

If they are so advanced in technology, then why is it that they haven't been able to build an airplane and have to use their old American-made fleet?

This kind of dangerous hubris will only lead to war with the US!!!Mark my words!

Very Interesting

So, that's what you call a 1950's vintage North Korean Nudong missle after you paint it white?  I did not know!!!

Actually, I have a picture of the second stage of the "space rocket" after it safeyl came back dwon to earth.  It landed in Mazandaran.  Here it is:

 //cailliau.org/blog/archives/IMG_2789-thumb.jpg

Also, I heard that Ahmadinejd's son will be Iran's first astronaut and, in fact, he has already been in a test flight.  Here's a calssified picture of that test flight that I got my hands on through some connections:

Looks great.  I think that he will make all Iranians proud!

Should they speak a positiv word? Should they become hizbolahis and true (saloon) supporters of Islamic Republic? In this case His majesty crown Prince or fadains or MKS and other democrates will never have the possibility to bring the democracy back to Iran as Iranians could enjoy it up to 1978/79. So it is a too great an expectation.

Why do we Iranians sitting outside have to make fun of everythin

by Faribors Maleknasri M.D. (not verified) on

Why do we Iranians sitting outside have to make fun of everything that comes out of Iran?
may be because it is against some unwritten rules outside. has anybody seen or heard that americans or other westerns make fun about anything in their near sarrounding? On the4 other hand i think whatever the honorable Iranian nation does is wrong. They begann making mistakes allready 1978/79 and are permanently continuing since then. As a Result no stranger has been able to rub their properties. A least the great satan. Its point of view on Iranian`s activities I have just explained. Greeting

by Faribors Maleknasri M.D. (not verified) on

May be for Defence?
all arround the Islamic Republic of Iran stand since 30 years some very strange wild and dirty creatures barking and grunting and preparing themselves to tear that country inparts and make again a take away shop of it as they used to do up to 1978/79.
I think this virtual - if they are virtual - can help keep them for a very very long time away. at best till reappearing of Mahdi(s). The creatures mentioned above are tto dumb too stupid beeing able to realize the virtuality of those weapons. so nobody hat to worry every body can be happy. However also without these weapons-show and before the honorable Iranian Nation had likewise proceedings in selfsufficiency also in case of defences nobody dared to behave respectless against that Nation. Every body has recognized: Iran is not afghanistan is not Irak but is the Islamic republic of Iran. Iranians Defend their country - as other thing that they do - in the sake of God. Greeting

Well done!

by Hajminator on

I’m really happy for Iran that young nationalists have achieved this technology advancement for the whole country. At this edge of things, it seems to me that these technology achievements are a royal path for people to evolve the political system too. The other alternative is to begin from the beginning: Get a democratic society then have technology. But in the middle east and blood suckers like Israel the latter is just a dream that we can discuss in this forum. So well done guys, me as an individual I’m proud of you.

Don't go too fast dadash.

Dameshoon garm ke chi beshe. Vase chi dameshoon garm. Vase in keh mooshak-e copy ye Korea ro hava kardan?! In mooshak be che darde mardom mikhoreh?!

If they wanted to do something worthwhile, they would spend that Irooni talent and resources on a thousand other things that are mouch much more critically needed than space program.

Dara jan,  you obviously either haven't been in Iran for a while or haven't stayed there long enough to see the many problems in areas that take so little to fix. But lack of management and organization is so chronic there.

Did you know that if you pick up the phone and call the emergency services in Tehran because your mother is having a heart-attack, about 2 hours later a guy on a motorcycle comes to your door and asks (with an attitude!) why you called the emergency service! In the meantime your mother will die!

Those talented Iranians you're so proud of should build roads and hospitals and fix the contry's health services and infrastructure so Iran wouldn't be ranked next to some African countries when it comes to the quality of it's telecom infrastructure, health and education services and many other basic amenities!

They should work on fixing the most basic needs of their society!! They shouldn't be wasting money on propaganda projects like this space B.S.!

Alaki shoar nadeh!!!

Ali Sefati, He does it so you can have something to bitch about.

farrad02, what the fat a** of the guy has anything to do with the subject?

Why do we Iranians sitting outside have to make fun of everything that comes out of Iran? I mean, I don't like mullahs either, but an achievement like this has nothing to do with them. This is the result of hard work and dedication of talented young Iranian scientists and engineers who are working under the minimum conditions. These people have probably come out of the same universities that their students rallied against government yesterday, and everybody here on this site praised them so much. Why not giving them credit for their accomplishments too? When I see irresponsible and cheap remarks like these from the opposition, I tend to lose my hope and respect for them.

I'm proud of good and talented people of Iran. Dameshoon Garm!

A couple of points

by farrad02 on

1- Anyone who thinks this rocket is a sign of Iran's advancement, only needs to go live in Tehran for a week or two and see the level of social and technological advancement that Tehranis grapple with on daily basis and how many things are in such dire need of Iranian ingenuity, before they start applying their genius to the space frontier!

2- I can't get used to the bucket of lard who is the army chief. How could a military officer baloon to this size and remain an effective role model and maintain the respect of the officers and soldiers who serve under him? (he is General - ! - Hasan Firooz Abadi)
