Sean Penn
by ShamshirH (not verified) on Thu Jan 24, 2008 05:22 PM PSTI like the people who are not afraid to tell the truth no matter how some others may react.
Sean Penn has a "Darwish" down to earth personality and he's sensitive to other's pains and sufferings.
He lives here in Northbay San Francisco.
I consider him my friend and I respect him.
Fox-News may make fun of him but then again they make fun of anyone who tells the truth.
We should know that we are in this together, both Iranians and Americans. We both suffer from self-serving, cruel governments.
War is not the answer because no one ever built anything by shooting at it.
The solution comes from within. We, the people, will change from inside and we make our rulers change or go away. It may not happen instantly but it will happen, just as a good wine that gets better in time.
"To the people of Iran: You
by Anonymous4now (not verified) on Tue Jan 22, 2008 10:33 AM PST"To the people of Iran: You are rich in culture and talent. You have a right to live under a government that listens to your wishes, respects your talents, and allows you to build better lives for your families. Unfortunately, your government denies you these opportunities, and threatens the peace and stability of your neighbors. So we call on the regime in Tehran to heed your will, and to make itself accountable to you. The day will come when the people of Iran have a government that embraces liberty and justice, and Iran joins the community of free nations. And when that good day comes, you will have no better friend than the United States of America."

by Paolo on Thu Jan 17, 2008 02:27 AM PSTI presume “Mastokhiari” is a derogatory term, however, I don’t expect anything more than that from people of your background – the insulting remark evidently demonstrates your upbringing and your family culture.
Nonetheless, if you think that democracy in Italy, Germany and Japan is because of US, you should stop watching too many Hollywood movies, and get yourself some useful books to read.
Sorry, you are too rude and naïve to be worthy of any further reply from me.
Well MR XerXes
by MRX on Wed Jan 16, 2008 01:10 PM PSTyou sound like an angry juvenile. every time you post some thing there is this attitude of anger and ignorance of you know best and every body else don't know shit....
So let's put aside daie jan napelon complex and the usuall shit about Bush being dumb and your gneral insult about calling every one khar and so on...... if you have this inferioirty complex that you think that's what every one in west thinks bout you (eyeiranian) well that's you issue you need to work on that. go see a shrink.
Like it or not West is there and you have to work with them in order to prosper and move up. you don't see chinese, brazilians, russians, and half dozen other nation whining about their relations with west do you? now dumb as you think bush is, he liberated 20 some million people from grip of taliban in Afghainstan and another 20 some million in Iraq from cockroach called saddam hussein. The Kurds in Iraq are genuinely happy and prospering now (see the latest news). it's not bush or any body elses fault if sunni and shia can not get a long and prosper like Kurds. Guess you would have prefered taliban and saddam right, just like the liberal idiots like sean the commi pennsky.
you need to get the grip...
RE:MRX
by XerXes (not verified) on Wed Jan 16, 2008 12:38 PM PSTI was reading your comment seriously until you asked how come US brought Democracy to Japan and Germany!!!!!?????!!!???
Are you serious? wow. You probably going to say that your blood is the same color as the Germans! No man, if you are eyeranian then you are a stupid ass third world piece of crab that should suck the balls of the west in order for them to be nice to you. Go get a freaking brain. And after eight years you still don't know your dumb ass president. It seems that you share your presidents' intelligent. Are you proud that I said that? As uncle napelon has said:
oon chizi keh hadi nadaareh, khariyateh, khariyat!
Well MR. Paolo Mastokhiari
by MRX on Wed Jan 16, 2008 08:53 AM PSTget real! you think every one is a fighter and can go grab a gun and fight the islamo facist system hand to hand, when Europe, russia, china and half dozen other countries out there support the regime simply becuase they can milk iran to death.
No body is supporting U.S bombing in Iran and that's not even an issue in here. It's the moron sean commi pennski that constantly attackes Bush administration while him and his ilk were silent to death when clinton and madlein half bright were bombing the shit out of serbs! (so follow the agenda!)
FInaly how come U.S bringing democracy to Japan, Germany, Itlay and half a dozen country out there is some how ok, but if they decide to bring it to mideast it's not! you know why, because it's elitist like you and commi penn who will say in private "well these people don't have tradition of democracy, we can not force it on them and so on" Case closed.
I would like to ask Iranians, rather than Sean!
by Paolo on Wed Jan 16, 2008 01:19 AM PSTSean Penn didn't praise the despot regime in Tehran - but he simply has objected the US savage policy in Middle-East and possible bombing of Iran!
However, I've found it quite shocking, sad and disturbing that some Iranians here are willing their country to be bombed by US, and witness their innocent countrymates loose their lives, just because they don't like the IR in power!
Now I would like to ask those Iranians, why do you live in safety of West - and why don't you go back to your country and fight and bring the barbaric-Islamic regime down and repalce it with a democratically elected system, rather than encouraging lunatics in Washington to bomb your country and massacre the innocent people of Iran?
Do you really think that US will bomb Iran to bring democracy there? What a naive and gullible people you must be, thinking that US will resolve your problems for you!
US will bring freedom, democracy and prosperity to Iran as they’ve brought to Iraq and Afghanistan!
I would like to ask Sean
by MRX on Mon Jan 14, 2008 01:58 PM PST>I would like to ask Sean Penn if he would have >put up with a plundering, brutal, medieval, and >corrupt government such as the IRI and how >would he feel if his wife and children lived under Shariawell said, but don't bother. Liberalism is mental disorder. Nafas az jayeh Garm miad.
This guy penn will not tolerate living in Islamic Sewer Republic for all the money in the world, but hey talk is cheap. Folks like him always talk big, they always favor all the social program you Name it, capitalism is bad (they all live in mansions!), but they won’t put a up a penny of their own money for any worthy cause they claim they favor! Mullah's should be happy at least they have one hollywood idiot as thier friend.
He is right
by Alborzi (not verified) on Mon Jan 14, 2008 08:17 AM PSTOf course he is correct. Its fascinating that about atomic bombs, Iran was telling the truth and Bush was lying, it was the same on Iraq and the genocide followed on the excuse of WMD.
Anyone who brings any excuse is like Chalabi guy, they have their own agenda.
WOW Thanks Shahriar Jan ;0)

Did he go home safe and sound after this event ? were his family and friends prosecuted after wards because of his opinion? can you imagine if some actor,writer,activist,.......citizen of our country rightfuly voices his/her concerns in a public forum???????
God forbid ! they're going to up root his/her "AJDAAD" and whoever attended such a forum for a simple question.
Is that to much to expect? Can we see that day?

by saman (not verified) on Sat Jan 12, 2008 08:32 PM PSTApparently, you have no clue what the man has done for the poor and the underdogs. Go and do a research and find out before you reveal your idiocy to the whole world. At least, he has guts to speak out against injustice at a time that you can easily have your career and life destroyed by the warmongers if you don't "behave" (remember Valerie Plame, Dixie Chicks, etc.?) You are just pissed off because he has interviewed some mullahs as a journalist.
The beauty of truth
by peace lover (not verified) on Sat Jan 12, 2008 08:24 PM PSTWhen a man speaks like a man,it is beautiful!.
America needs more Sean Penn.
He is an Idiot!
by Kiana (not verified) on Sat Jan 12, 2008 07:59 PM PSTI remember when I was visiting Iran, He came to Iran and the first thing he did, was not talking to real people. He went to namazeh Jome and visited with those mullahs.
I think he needs a Muzzle and he should be tried as an traitor. He has no knowledge or credibility in the arena of politics . i recommend him to get busy with his entertainment job and keep his ideas only to himself and spare the world from his idiocy.
If he is really great he should donate some of his money to the homeless people in LA instead of building mansions for himself.
Sean Penn is one of the brightest and most intelligent Americans

Unfortunately a great majority are NOT!
I'm not praising him only for defending Iran and Iranians... with his views he'd defend the truth as he sees it anywhere!
