Ironically, after the bombing of the shrine by the Sunni’s in 2005, the US Forces sealed the place to prevent from further destruction. The impact of the explosion had turned this place inside out and exposed the remains of what was supposedly buried there. Yes, your guess is correct, they were of four-legged types, it was determined using DNA tests.
