Iranian of the Day

Shaherezade Mowlavi received her Masters degree in Music from Boston University with a full educational scholarship granted by Opera Pacific. At Boston University Opera Institute, she appeared as Lucia in The Rape of Lucretia, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Lisavetta in A Month in the Country and covered the role of Sandrina in La Finta Giardiniera. Ms. Mowlavi made her European opera debut as Papagena at the Vienna Kursalon. Since 2004, she has also appeared as the soprano soloist with the Vienna Salon Orchestra in Vienna. Shaherezade has appeared with the Repertory Opera Company of Los Angeles as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Violetta in La Traviata and Adina in L‚Elisir d‚Amore.
