The question was meant to ask what makes her different than the rest of us. I read thru her resume and I did not see anything special. So she has a masters degree or whatever...I can show you thousands of other Iranians who have masters and phd's...so again I ask: Why her?

I couldn't agree more with sanaz-02 . We Iranians are extremely classist and this classism has to do with titles and also money.

We aren't a grown up culture, we're very easy to impress and do enjoy impressing others.

The answer to your quizzical looks, and your questions is No, an Iranian of the day can be anyone Iranian.

You never know you or yours may end up being Iranian of the day for one reason or another!
