To Nader

by Mersedeh on

I love you too! I think you finally have gotten my point, so I don't mind you making funny statements about my carburator or whatever you want, because unlike your previous comments, any new attempts at humor actually DO belong in this section. Way to go...do-zarit belakhareh oftad! :)

Inaccurate Nonsense

by Mersedeh on

I think it is wonderful that (Caspian) brings up this term "Inaccurate Nonsense" because that sums up right about every comment that you (Nader) have made regarding myself, humor and anyone here with an opinion different from yours.

Just to bring everyone back down to PLANET EARTH, this is an Aerobic Video with Iranian women dressed like a cross between a penguin and a nun and no matter what you say it is DAMN FUNNY. Now, ... if someone looks at this and says it is funny, the only acceptable and NORMAL response would be for you to say: "Hey, you know what? I didn't find it that funny" to which the rest of us should say, "ok, that's cool". This is about as far as this clip should go and this would demonstrate a healthy reaction in a tolerant democratic environment.

Now, to go from there, to analyzing people and saying oh yes, go see Marx's theory on comparative bla bla or you should go watch Police Academy or hey, you sound like you were raised in a British system...what the heeeeeeelll are you talking about man? You need to go get HBO or something or a some type of entertainment! This was just a stupid funny video, get over it! Do you see us sitting here saying....Hey, based on your reaction and posts which are all inaccurate nonsense, you sound like you were raised in the mid-1940s in central India by a Pakistani nanny who fed you way too much raw vegetables and curry milk, so....HAH! Chi migi baba? Let people laugh when they want, boro be karet beress...

Or if you are soooooooo passionate about all this, then go pour your energy onto paper and write an article and post it so we can all become enlightened by your philosophy of chertopert, and maybe we will repent and you can include a list at the bottom of what movies we should watch and which ones we shouldnt and also which films are appropriate for us to laugh at and which ones are just a sign of low-class or poor upbringing, etc.... Otherwise, move on buddy...move on!

My post was in response to Mercedeh's and reference to the mention of butts and objects, who seems to have a sense of humour.

Please, stop assuming and projecting totally inaccurate nonsense into and from my posts.

TO Caspianseamermaid

by nader dehesh (not verified) on

Wow, you are so articulate and so swiftly move from fundamental psychological theories to objects inside of one's 'bottom'. Guessing from your use of this word and 'daft' you must be a product of a solid British primary education. Tell me have you settled down nicely in the British society or are you still having trouble adjusting?. 'Coyping' healthcare exercises from the 'West' is an abomination to you and yet your old country is nothing but an absurdity. So where are you stuck? in Brixton maybe?

My dear Caspianseamermaide comments again...

by Laleh (not verified) on

Are you saying you feel sorry for yourself? I don't.... you are right where you should be!

default

Right on, Mercedeh! You are spot on!

by caspianseamermaid (not verified) on

Some people's association cortex and psychosis of projection has gone totally overboard in the search of 'deep meaning' in the holy grail of an aerobics videoclip!

The question now remains is whether one should feel sorry for the objects stuck up their bottoms.

by LostIdentity (not verified) on

Ms.Laleh, You surely raise a great discussion - a fair one; I have no idea why if women put two-piece on and aero dance, majority admires, but if some keep their body to themselves, it becomes an object of ridicule and backwardedness!!!! Unfortunately, Democracy to some people means getting everything - it's SELFISHNESS at it's best.
I wonder what the cause of all rape, incest and.....is in the moder society! I'm not saying that teh so-called "Undemocratic" societies do not have these issues an don't want to discuss where the crime % is higher, BUT, I expect a modern society be more civil. It's easy to see if you offend someone physially, but the impact of offending someone intellectually is far graver. So, I totally disagree with the motto " Nothing is sacred"!!!!! Yes, People's belief is as sacred as their Physics.

Peace to all humanity;

Smooth Riding Mercedes

by Nader Dehesh (not verified) on

When people meant it to be funny it can then perceived to be funny. But, if people are doing it in a manner that is normal and natural to them, then try to understand it.

If you want laughs I recommend Marx Brother's "A Day at the Races" now that is funny! But judging from your style, I recommend 'Police Academy -I through VIII'.

Caspiansea Mermaid and attention Mr. Jahanshah Javid

by Nader Dehesh (not verified) on

Laleh thanks for your comments I think Caspianseamermaid has been swimming in some rough waters lately.

Also, Dear Mr. Jahanshah Javid had you lived a day in Iran in recent years you would not be such a 'tour bus observer' of events in Iran and maybe they would not appear as surreal to you.

Explanation of "FUNNY" for those w/ a stick up their butts...

by Mersedeh on

What is so "Funny"? Funny is when you see something and it look really crazy and you find yourself laughing. Iranians find things funny as do Americans, Indians, Asians, Africans, and any combination of the above. It does not necessarily mean that you think they should stop what they are doing, nor does your laughter indicate that you view them or their action as insignificant or worthless. It means that this video clip is FUNNY, like ha ha ha FUNNY. I think there are some people here with seriously sharp objects up their butts who are incapable of understanding and appreciating what others may perceive as humorous without feeling the need to tie it all in with something deep and philosophical and BULLSHIT. Please don't call us 'peanuts' or 'generation this' or that or claim to know our age, location, culture or association with Iran. When someone says that the clip was funny, that is ALL it means....pull the stick out of your butt and laugh and if you can't then move on and don't offer a damn lecture on why they shouldn't laugh. This section is called what?.....ANYWAY!!!!

caspianseamermaid, I love you...

by Laleh (not verified) on

I'm sure we are related. This is what we do, we are polite in the persence of others and the minute we know nobody would recognize us, we just feel free to open our dirty mouths and insult whoever we don't agree with, isn't it true my dear tribe member?

default

Laleh, cry me a river!

by caspianseamermaid (not verified) on

They cook and clean and nothing else?
Cry me a river!
Please, keep your primitive incestual tribalism to yourself. I am in no way related to you or to those on that video.

If you had a bit of a brain, you would know that it is against the law in most countries to strip in public: it's called 'indecent exposure'.

Furthermore, do NOT assume what I or others do or don't understand. Capiche?

The music doesn't match!

by farrad02 on

What is funny is that the music doesn't seem to match the movements! Unless someone laid this slow music over the original, which I think is the case!

:)

What's so funny?

by Laleh (not verified) on

I cann't understand what is funny about this? If the Iranian women stay home, just cook and clean and noting else, we lucky people outside of the border think it is women abuse and start yelling our butts off about it. If Iranian women come out and do someting else and try to cope with their situation, it's funny to us. What should they do to satisfy your highly intelligent minds? At least they are doing somthing. How maney of you who have the advantage of taking your cloths off and exersise in the streets really do it?Leave them alone please. Don't judge when you cannot understand their situation. Just let me say something, by looking critically about every single thing people do in Iran, we cannot justify ourselves. Remember, believe it or not,we are still Iranians and those people still our sisters or brothers, mothers or fathers. Don't laugh at them.

Jumping up and down and swinging your arms about like an unfortunate caricature of a baboon is a sign of determination and modernism?
Some of us think aerobics is pretty daft in the first place. What is pitiful is that Iranians, as ever have to copy any old crap that the 'West' spews, but if they wish to do so, fine, but then others hold the right to keep things in perspective and have a sense of humour.
Furthermore, please stop assuming that all the people on this website are Iranian-Americans.
Some of us are logging in from the pistachio gallery.

Iranian Aerobics

by Nader Dehesh (not verified) on

The women should be praised for their steadfast determination in pursuing what they want given all the hurdles and difficulties of living in modern day Iran. Instead, Iranian.com has become the voice of second generation Iranian-American peanut gallery commentators who have only seen Iran through TV or Youtube. Every thing about Iran is either 'funny', 'weird', and now 'surreal' to our spot minded Iranian-Americans. This is how people live in Iran-just deal with it.

I just want to confess

by Jesus (not verified) on

I just want to confess that the "naked" statement in my previous post was the work of the devil. Even the the almighty himself gets tricked once in a while! Yes I did walk on water, but my weakness like any other hetero men is "naked women". I don't condone such statements, as a matter of fact I got crucified for the rest of you sinners who get to look at naked women constantly. Just wanted to disclose that disclaimer: All bad behaviors done under jesus's name are products of sheitan e rajeem, and not affiliated to Jesus.

There is nothing that surreal about that video. Jesus is here to help brother, don't tell me you got off on that video, if you did, you got big problems. Just bunch of covered women moving from left to right..what is so fantastic about it?

Now, if they got naked while they were moving around, than you are talking.

Iranian Women

I admire the motivation and problem solving abilities of Iranian women. Nothing can stop them from what they want to do. They are the ones that will eventually navigate Iran in the right direction. Marda Bokharee Nadaran.
