Iranian of the Day

I would like to name Dr. LotfAli Haghighi, PhD as Iranian of the Day. He was Professeur and Researcher at the Shiraz Pahlavi University in Biology, Microbiology, and Serology and former Student of UCLA. He was a member of the International Comitee of Systematic Bacteriology, and the French Academie Nationale de Pharmacie.
 
He was a Great Family friend and an uncle to us in many ways. We have so many great souveniers of him growing up in Shiraz that are impossible to summarize. He was so much part of our lives and I am sure he will be missed by many colleagues and Friends.
 
Dr. Haghighi passed away in mid July in Shiraz, the city of Flowers he loved and cherished so much in his lifetime and was one of its best representatives and hosts to anyone who knew him.
 
Our Deepest Thoughts go to his family and loved ones.
