3 Iranian guards face murder charges in Pakistan

QUETTA, Pakistan (AP) -- A Pakistani official says three Iranian border guards held here face murder charges after fatally shooting a man inside Pakistan's territory while chasing smugglers.

Deputy commissioner Saeed Jamali said on Wednesday that the case against the three was registered at a police station the day before. This means the Iranians will have to go on trial, though no date for it has been set.
