The Iranian threat

A few excerpts:
"They are gearing up totally for the destruction of Iran," according to Dan Plesch, director of the Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy at the University of London.
"US bombers and long range missiles are ready today to destroy 10,000 targets in Iran in a few hours," he said. "The firepower of US forces has quadrupled since 2003," accelerating under Obama.
"the US will have to confront Iran or give up the Middle East",
Iranian deterrent capacity is considered an illegitimate exercise of sovereignty that interferes with US global designs.
Specifically, it threatens US control of Middle East energy resources, a high priority of planners since World War II. As one influential figure advised, expressing a common understanding, control of these resources yields "substantial control of the world"

They are gearing up for the destruction of Iran

"Control energy resources and you control a nation. Control the food supply and you control the people." I think Kissinger said this.

Bombing Taliban in Iran

by alimostofi on

What if the world identified The Hezbollah Party and its phoney elections as illegal and dissmissed them from UN. Like The Taliban; the UN forces would feel righteous to bomb Hezbollahi bases that are in civilian areas and threaten the innocent Iranians.

Veiled Prophet of Khorasan

Chomsky does know

Better however as a radical left winger he chooses to do it. Radical left and right both have their heads in the sand. Don't bother expecting sanity from either one.

Mr Chomsky should know

by alimostofi on

Mr Chomsky should know better than to use the word "Iran" to describe the activities of The Hezbollah Party in Iran. He needs to be more accurate and detailed about the various different factions involved. Lumping Iranians and Hezbollah together is an insult to Iranians. Some call them The Taliban of Iran. In fact they are attacking the sovreignity of Iran. The Hezbollah Party in Iran has no legitimate rights on the people of Iran but neo-liberals find them as useful fodder against United States.
