Poor guy put $1 Billion worth of assets as a deposite (if you can believe that)  , borrowed $3 Billion and transferred $2 Billion of the cash  out. So he got away with only $1 Billion which is peanuts

I always thought "milliard" was the same as billion. But  correct me if wrong.

Regardless, it seems that Iran's oil income is being treated as some sort of the personal property, "erse pedar" by top IRI leaders, khamenei and Ahmadinezhad. 

Just imagine what a difference just a few million dollars would make to the lives of these Iranians.

COP jaan my question was whether Milliyard is Billion or Trillio

If it was $3T it meant that would be more than the annual budget of the US for 2012 which is under $3T and that would be really "something".  Like you I confused Toman with Dollar.  I did say "nothing" but that's comparing $3B to $3T not about inflation and social injustice or being ok to steal!

$3B is nothing.  I mean it's a lot of money for one person to steal but didn't Madoff steal $50B?  Iran's annual budget for 2010-2011 is $368.4B so this is a flick of someone's you know what or 0.8% of annual budget.

How much is 3000 "Miliyard"? Is it Billions or Trillions?

If 3000 million Toman is 3 billion Toman, then how much is 3000 Billion?  Is Miliyard Billion or Trillion?  I see in the news reports in English they say it's 3 billion dollars which makes a big difference.

3 billion is nothing in Iranian corruption, as the NFL player Randy Moss once said 3 billion is a flick of his ****!
