English Description:
French Royalists Tribute to Shapour Bakhtiar at the time of the controversy over the expulsion of his assassin Ali Vakili Rad back to Iran.
The Article hails Bakhtiar's love of French Culture and his volunteering in the French Army and subsequently the French Resistance when France was attacked and occupied by Nazi Germany. The Article also expresses the author's hope that Sarkozy will stand with his promise and not set free the Assassin of a man whom the magazine describes as someone who not Only loved France but served it ... Alas we know that Sarkozy did not oppose the extradition of Ali Vakili Rad which the French Judiciary set free after 18 years of imprisonment ...
