Rasmussen: 'Nato has no plans to intervene' in Libya (VIDEO)

In an exclusive interview for Newsnight, Nato Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said Nato had ''no plans to intervene'' in the crisis in Libya.

However, he added: ''If we can be of any help, we stand ready with the assets at our disposal''.

Gaddafi is now bringing in Malian Mercenaries to crush rebels

Members of the Tuareg community in Mali say a large number of men from the Tuareg ethnic group have left Mali in the last week to join pro-Gaddafi forces in Libya. They are being paid about $10,000 (£6,000) to join up and they are being told that they will get $1,000 a day to fight.
