UK Wants to Take Action Against Iran’s Broadcasting English Station

Press TV is a branch of Iran’s state broadcaster, IRIB. Its main foreign bureau is in northwest London. The announcers, including former Labor and respected Member of Parliament George Galloway, whose program was recently criticized by Ofcom for violating rules of impartiality, and journalist Yvonne Ridley. No action has been taken at that time because of legal difficulties, but a British official said that a case can be made in the future if the proposed new sanctions on Iran, U.S. covert wire preach. The new sanctions proposed by both the UN Security Council and the European Union this summer, but no action has been taken against these broadcasters.
