As a CIA spy, I saw in Iran what the West cannot ignore

Today the West must make one of the most important decisions of our era. Will we defend what remains of democracy and freedom in Iran, or will we succumb to Tehran's murderous government?

It's a question that goes to the heart of our own security. Iran is a thugocracy of Islamic mullahs, and it will soon have nuclear arms. Any misconception about the intentions of fanatics with nuclear bombs will have grave consequences.

I know because I spent years alongside them as a CIA spy working under cover in Iran's Revolutionary Guards starting in the 1980s.

He does seem a bit too

He does seem a bit too anxious for the US to do something.  What that something is, I don't know.  But I'm not getting a real good feeling about what he says.

Bavafa.  This is just something to think about ok?  I think the point is just that... Israel DOES have nukes but they haven't used them.  I don't  think it's likely that they will.  They can talk big and all that but they aren't about to piss the US off right now.  IRI doesn't even have nukes yet (assuming anyway) and they make some pretty outrageous threats.  I think the concern is for what might happen.  Does that make sense?

Besides, Russia is already backing off on support.  If it were the north koreans, I might be nervous.  But the russians? Not hardly.

If you really think China or Russia (either one) will risk nuclear war with the US on behalf of Iran, you must be high as a kite.

Iran attacks the USS

by ex programmer craig on

Iran attacks the USS Reagan... Battle group.... then the USAF is put on Nucler alert...

If that happens, then the US will respond with our overwhelming (conventional) air and sea superiority, and the Iranian military will be decimated. No nukes involved. Again, too much drama. You obviously know nothing about US nuclear doctrine or US history to even think along those lines. I could explain it to you, but I doubt it would do much good since you've apparently played out these scenarios in your head quite a bit. Suffice it to say that there are only a few scenarios that allow for use of tactical nukes in a conventional conflict, and they all involve fighting a superior opponent. The Islamic Republic is not even a peer. If the US used nukes against Iran, I would be the first in line wanting Obama's head on a platter.

Ali Akbar

okay ex programmer look at this scenario

by Ali Akbar on

Israel Bombs the nuclear facilities... thus the Iranian government retalliates with some S-33 missles that are specifically created to cripple a NIMITZ CLASS Air craft carrier.... Iran attacks the USS Reagan... Battle group.... then the USAF is put on Nucler alert...  Russian Subs off the Coast of N Carolina target USAFB in DC FLA and TX and GA Alabama  China closes the Panama Canal....

is that Nightmarish enough???

the only outcome I see would be draging the west into WWIII...

Too much drama! It takes at least one global power on both sides of a war to qualify as a World War, and I don't really see how a regional war in the ME can become a world war. I suppose it's possible, but it isn't likely. And for another thing, it isn't in anyone's interests to provoke a civil war in Iran.

Out of curiousity, what do you see the factions being in your world war III scenario? US and Russia? The Russians wouldn't stand a chance, and there's no way they'd go up against the US directly these days... especially with China eyeballing their eastern territories.

Another Neocon, perhaps an Israeli desperate for attention.

whether the CSM is an organ for the CIA is irrelevant

by Ali Akbar on

but on the other hand any influence from any CIA agents will only give ammunition to the raging mullahs an open excuse to murder any civilians... also any attempt by the west CIA MI5 et al could spark a bloody civil war and the only outcome I see would be draging the west into WWIII...

Bavafa

I wouldn't put 2 cents

by Bavafa on

I wouldn't put 2 cents worth of crap attention to what he says, by his own admission he is a traitor if he was in fact a spy for CIA and if not, then he is liar for pretending to be a spy. Either way you look at it he is a low life coward.

Also, one can argue that Israel is far more fanatic and has had Nuclear bomb for years, yet no one talks about them. This is one of those cases of keep repeating it and it becomes reality just like the WMD in Iraq.
