Obama's stance worries Israelis

Rahm Emanuel — whose father fought with the militant Zionist group the Irgun, and whose appointment had provided such reassurance to Israeli officials — was quoted this week laying down the law to Israel. If Israel wants US help to defuse the Iranian threat, Mr Emanuel was reported to have told Jewish leaders in Washington, then get ready to start evacuating settlements in the West Bank.

Iran's becoming a bargaining chip

by IRANdokht on

All Israelis, says Mr Avraham, understand the vital nature of the relationship between Israel and the US. "If we lose America, then we are alone," he says. "So we must listen to what America wants. But really I think this is more about the little brother testing the limits of the big brother."

STOP!

by IRANdokht on

Stop distracting and derailing posts! All these hateful comments and downright insults will not change the reality! It seems like some folks go back to the old posts and leave their venomous words after the post has left the first page just to keep track of their "having the last word".

Stop barking and if you have nothing to dispute about the post, leave it alone and move on!

Haters who have created their own language

by Kaveh Nouraee on

It's funny (both the "haha" and the "strange") that people are throwing around an Afrikaans word (and using it improperly, of course) to describe their views of Israel.

I suppose expectations should be kept low, considering how these same people use the word "zionist" around here as another way of saying "Jew-loving motherf**ker. Why don't you just say "heeb" or "kike"? You're hateful narrow-minded people, so why don't you use hateful terminology? Why obscure your hatred with faux verbage? It's not as though you're fooling anybody (other than yourselves). You call yourselves "liberal", so liberate yourselves and say what you really want to say.

SMHB... since you apparently have this clear picture of these people, why don't you expand upon it, giving the rest of the website the benefits of your sage-like abilities.

Oh, and I also just loooove the use of "we". "We"? Do you have a mouse in your pocket? Were you elected spokesperson for the Iranian Department of Intellgent Opinion & Truth?

Patronizing? More than half of what some of you clowns say on this website is patronizing. You post here and there with nothing  constructive to contribute, only trashing those who hold not just an opposing view, but also a different view.

Those with whom you disagree are characterized as illogical, uneducated, immoral, racist, zionazi, neocon, zionist, and so on.

Well, I have a news flash for you. When you go to the bathroom, birds do not sing, flowers do not bloom, and people do not fall in love, intoxicated by your aromatic bouquet.

In other words, your shit stinks just like everybody else's. And it's way past time for you to flush.

smhb - get a life.

by Mehdi Mazloom on

As I have posted here many many times before. We the Israelis are here primarily to exchange ideas, and present to the Iranian bystanders our side of the Arab Israeli conflict.  Mister, you can call it whatever you wish to label it. Propaganda, or ghorme' sabzi, I don't care.

In return, you call us lairs and criminals, just because our position does not agree, nor bolsters your own prejudices against us. I don't care mister.

I also emphasized that, we speak your language, you don't speak ours. We know your cultural, you have no clue about ours.

We know your history, and appreciate the profound contribution which your leader some 2500 years ago granted to us, and still teach  them in our high schoolls. You couldn'd care less about our contribution to the advancement fo humanity, science, and other human endeavor.

We live in democracy where freedom, and protection of individual rights reign supreme, A country where no one in above the law. You support a fundamentalist regime which believes a 72 year old man with 7th century mindset IS THE law.

You STILL have the audacity to blame us for "fabricating", just because we know more about you, then you know about us.

Had you and others like you bother to spend time to understand  us, 1/2 as much as we understand you, then we would have a more level playing field than what you seem to present.

defean?

just curious what that means?

did you mean "sheer"?

do i "believe" that you are delusional when you use the word "zionist" so carelessly yet object to the word "terrorist IRI"?  yes, i do believe you are delusional and hypocritical.

MY guts are just fine, thank you.  YOU however should be shaking in your boots knowing that your beloved IRI is the one being exposed... day in and day out.

sick, twisted, deviate minds?  oh my dear fellow... that is the very epitome of the pot calling the kettle black.

IRANdokht and Ostaad

by smhb on

The arrogance and shear idiocy of zionists is astounding. They consider themselves the moral spokesmen of humanity. They defean the entire planet by their non sense on a daily basis using the power of the media and the funny thing is that they actually beleive the crap they spew out day in and day out. MM is no exception to this twisted, deviant and sick mindset.

They fabricate, lie and use half truths to sustain themselves and thats why they can barely tolerate it when any amount of truth is spoken by anyone and anywhere about their criminal mindset, ideology and behavior. It just turns their guts inside out knowing that all their lies and deceptions are being exposed slowly and the people of this planet see the zionists for who they actually are.

What a sick bunch.

pa·tron·ize    (ptr-nz, ptr-) KEY

TRANSITIVE VERB:

  2. To go to as a customer, especially on a regular basis.

one could also suggest that people who use the word "we" or "you people" with such regularity are guilty of patronizing as well.

Now that you're trying to guide us to the right path, please tell me what part of your original comment was about my initial news post?  hence the use of the word "ranting".

I am just thrilled that iranian.com belongs to everyone, so all the superior beings like yourselves can feel free to preach and guide iranians or as you put it "nice kid whom are being led astray".

can you people be any more patronizing?

just another voice of support to you.  although some consider iranian.com THEIR sole voice, it belongs to everyone.  i always wonder what this "we" crap really means.  who is "we"?  "we" as in iranians?  "we" as in americans?  "we" as in human beings?

once again, the hypocracy is so thick you can choke on it.

don't worry.  "americans" ARE aware of the support that israel brings to the US in the unstable ME region.  and "americans" ARE aware that the IRI is a mad dog staining to escape their lease and wipe israel off the face of the map and bring "death to america".

i pray for all true iranians who only wish to live in peace with the west.  unfortunately, those incredible people have "others" who wish to speak for them.

let's wait for all the propoganda accusations now, shall we?

Ostaad - Lets cut through the chase

by Mehdi Mazloom on

When you mention the word "occupied", that exactly means "Gaza & WB", so please, cut the fancy foot dancing with me. I am not the "Zionist" which you label me. You are barking at the wrong tree my good man. In fact you won't find any modern day Israeli who will label himself as "Zionists". It gave way to modern day Israel national identity, and we are proud of it.

In fact it is you and other anti-Israeli pundits who regurgitation the garbage coming out of the Akhmag-e'nejad's mouth. This man had become a centerpiece of international joke and stuff for comedy. This idiot is a disgrace to the Iranian people, and their glorious past.

Based on one comment made by an american official, how the hell do you know that Israeli is liabilty to US.?. What Rahm was alluding, he had politly advised Israel on issue of mutual interest. There are many friends of Israel, even members of AIPAC also suggest to Israel to stop the expansion of settlement. Even myself support we stop the expansion. So what are you trying to prove.?

Great news

by Mashty (not verified) on

Great news. I knew that the great United States of America, the land of free and brave would not stand with cowardly regime of Israel. As the US must punish all dictatorial states, such as Iran (that it has), the US must stand against the wrong doing of Israel also.
God bless the great and green US of America.
God bless Obama.

Mazloom, what have we done to deserve...

by Ostaad on

an intellectually challenged dude like you lurking on this site? You're not even bothering to address the content of my post as is. Instead you have gone on regurgitating the canned off-the-shelf Zionist claptrap which you have memorized. I have not mentioned Gaza and the Palestinians in my entire post. My main point throughout all my posts related to Israel has been that in spite of its democratic structure, Israel is run by religious extremists/terrorists, Jewish racists and right wing idealogues. Those factors taken as a whole make the Israeli state an Apartheid state.

My other point in this particular post was that Israel has become a liability to the US interests rather than an asset. Israel is squarely part of the problem not the solution. When an ardent Zionist and Israel supporter, Rahm Emmanuel, has to tell Israel its illegal settlements are a major problem and they need to go, Zionists hacks like you must get the message or the next check courtesy of American impoverished tax payers may not arrive.

Mehdi Mazloom

And Ostaad's problem.

by Mehdi Mazloom on

Once again, you had embarked on your repeated tirades against Israel.

In regards to the legal status of the WB & Gaza.

Unlike others in the  region, neither Gaza nor WB are defined as sovereign states, with defined borders, recognized by the UN. It does not mean to deprive the Pals from living there. However if one speaks in fancy "legaleez" language, Many legal scholars will also tell you that, WB & Gaza are merely disputed land. So please, get off your fancy "international Law" horse. The Mullahs in Tehran are the last ons to talk about "respect for international law".

Pundits like you see what they wish to see or hear. You are quick  to point out the burden on which Israel pose to US. But  fail to recognize the enormous benefit which Israel brings to US. Being well familiar with  both countries, I can assure, you have no clue on the topic of US-Israeli relationship.

Much like other bonehead pundits, you are very quick to use the word "Apartheid" (much like the word Nazi"). My good man, you wouldn't know the  meaning of this word even if it hit you in the rear. Suffice to examine and compare the freedom of  expression, and human  right  Israel accords to its non-Jewish minorities in Israel to that of non-Muslim one throughout the Arab & Islamic regimes. Just examine the mass exodus of those minorities from the Islamic countries to get the real meaning of Apartheid.

Israelis are not Palestinians, and the Pals living in the WB & Gaza are not Israelis. If one uses your maligned definition of "apartheid", then why not call US an "apartheid" against Mexican living in Mexico, or any country against its neighboring state. What about Iran &  Bahrain? (which the Mullahs in Tehran had declared as Iran's territory.)

Like that famous saying goes, "if you snooze, you lose". In every opportunity, the Pal never failed to miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. When Hamas and the despotic regime in Tehran who support them, learn to be tolerant, and recognize the fact that, Jews have just as mush historical right to live in that part of the world as Muslims do, then we will have peace in the region.

If Hamas does not wants to be the victim, then  they should not play the one. These people are full of hate, whom don't even care about their own people - let alone have concern to others.

As I have said it many times in this forum. the word "Occupation" can also be manifested with occupation of hatred and sense of hopelessness instill in the heart and mind of innocent Arab (and Iranian) man and woman.

Isreal's problem(s)

by Ostaad on

Israel has many problems with the US regarding the way it has managed to take advantage of the US in order to have its cake and eat it too. The US "official" position regarding the Jewish squatters in the Occupied Territories has always been that they are illegal, period. Usually the US punishes those who do things which the US considers illegal with a myriad of punishments and "disincentives" including military and economic sanctions. In Israel's case the US has been forced, cajoled and tricked to look the other way. As the result of these gross misapplications of US's own policies towards one of the most blatant violator of intenatinal law, and the main source of instability and state-sponsored terrorism the US credibility has taken a nose dive. Currently Israel and its Apartheid regime is a big liability for the US and an impediment to the US ability to deal with most of the threats facing it security and national interests in the ME.

I'm sure Israelis are well aware of the precarious position they have created for the US by maintaining their policies of war mongering, military domination and keeping the status quo.  By maintaining instability in the region by rejecting peace, expanding the settlements, attacking and killing civilians Israeli policy makers have managed to weaken the US ability to stabilize the region, because stability means peace and peace means Israel's military domination will be redundant.

The current government, despite its right wing policies, has the capability to adjust to the new reality that their value to server as an "immovable air craft carrier" for the US has evaporated and the center of gravity for the US geopolitical interests as move way to their East.
