Clinton's press conference supports Israel and demonizes Iran

This week Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is on a visit to the Middle East and Europe to mobilize support for U.S. imperialism. On March 3, 2009 she gave a press conference in Israel. In the press conference, she made clear that the new Obama administration is dedicated to pursuing continued U.S. dominance of the Middle East. In the pursuit of this dominance, Clinton emphasized that Israel is a key U.S. ally and Iran is a key enemy. Clinton stressed the importance of Israel at the conference when she stated, “President Obama and I believe that the bond between the United States and Israel, and our commitment to Israel’s security and to its democracy as a Jewish state, remains fundamental, unshakable, and eternally durable.” She talked about the need for a “durable ceasefire” between Israel and Gaza and then blamed Hamas for the war on Gaza.  She said, “But that can only be achieved if Hamas ceases the rocket attacks. No nation should be expected to sit idly by and allow rockets to assault its people and its territories. These attacks must stop and so must the smuggling of weapons into Gaza. These activities put innocent lives of Israelis and Palestinians at risk and undermine the well-being of the people of Gaza.”

demonize all you want...

...but you won't be able to accomplish much without engaging ALL the players.  The more Iran is demonized in White House rhetoric and by media, the harder it would get to sit down and talk.  The road to Middle East peace passes through proper negotiation and respect for each and every country involved.  IRI's lack of recognition for Israel is a major stumbling block which must also be overcome.

The more IRI is demonized, the more isolated it gets.  The more isolated the IRI gets, the harder the lives of Iranians inside Iran becomes.  Only when Iran is accepted and respected, even with all its faults on the international diplomatic arena, can the IRI rulers be held accountable to the rest of the world for their treatment of their own people and their ideologically driven policies which have brought poverty and isolation to people of Iran.

another word used carelessly and incorrectly.  making iran into a demon?  where... how?  unless of course you are making a claim that iranians ARE associated with the IRI.  because you CAN take that to the bank.   even iranians consider the IRI a criminal regime... it ain't just the US.  americans in general and the government specifically... accept that the people in iran are different and that they support iranians and all their rights.  but with the IRI in control... the US simply isn't going to take any chances.  what part don't you get?  the part where israel is the US's only ally in the ME and that we are going to protect her against attack?  the part where the US supports israel in shared values and we're going to continue to do so?  the part where iran has expressed a desire to wipe israel off the face of the map?  the part where the IRI calls the US the great satan?  what exactly are you expecting from us?

gol-dust.  you seem awfully young to be speaking such venemous thoughts... who taught you such hate for the jewish people?  you act like you have intimate knowledge of the status of the nuclear program in iran.  when in fact you know nothing other than what the IRI tells you.  which is not to say that the US knows for certain that they ARE developing nuclear weapons but you have absolutely zero intelligence to confirm that they are not.

please don't use the word holocaust.  with such hate in your mind you desecrate the memories of 6 million people.  what a vile thing to say.

what is starving your people is YOUR regime.  it has nothing to do with israel.  YOUR regime is killing and raping your women.  why don't you start looking within instead of blaming everyone else.

C'mon you guys. Goal is the same, but the difference is smiling while you are doing it! Israel is leading the US, not vice versa! Nuclear Iran is a big PR by the zionists to scare off the Arab countries to come to Israeli camp!

What nuclear bomb? Scare tachtics is what they use all the time! As they use holocust to gain sympathy and unify their people and silence the world!I wish Israel would have never existed! Throughout their history have only brought disaster for the world!

strategy is to use Obama's charm offensive to gather all other countries including arabs to isolate Iran and starve our people as the israelis did to GAzans! If that's how they want to play it, Iran should not play with them! Hell to Israel!
