Leila Dean, 29, of Brighton approached Mandelson seconds after he got out of his car and tossed a substance which she later identified as custard. Dean belongs to a group called "Plane Stupid," which is campaigning against government plans to build a third runway at London's Heathrow Airport. She told reporters that Mandelson was siding with lobbyists and business interests, rather than the good of the planet, in supporting the new runway.
