Israel’s siege of Gaza, largely unseen by the outside world because of Jerusalem’s refusal to allow humanitarian aid workers, reporters and photographers access to Gaza, rivals the most egregious crimes carried out at the height of apartheid by the South African regime. It comes close to the horrors visited on Sarajevo by the Bosnian Serbs. It has disturbing echoes of the Nazi ghettos of Lodz and Warsaw.

During a chat with a jewish friend, when we started talking about the Israel's attack on Lebanon a couple of years ago, she blurted out: "there are so many arabs in the world, but not that many jews, each jewish soldier's life is worth more than 1000 arabs" 

She actually believed that statement.

Now that all the ... are gathered here, how about telling it your buddies at Hamas to stop their rocket attacks and care these oppresses people of theirs? How about spending all the money they get from buddies in Tehran to provide for their needs you seem so dictated to shed your crocodile tears for? How about doing something constructive for a change?

The situation that these innocent people are forced to live in breaks my heart. It's amazing what harm people can do to others based on racism and greed
and the whole world is just sitting there and watching them die of hunger, diseases and unhealthy conditions.

Shame on all of us.
