The conference was called the Asset Management Conference, and hotel personnel were ordered to not mention AIG either verbally or on signage.

An AIG spokesperson told ABC News that there was no AIG signage because they wanted to lower the company's profile. As consumers, I think we're a little too smart to believe that. Something tells me that the company executives knew they'd get heat for another luxury trip.

The sad part about capitalist politics

by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on

This country will never let go of corporate greed. They depend on it for donations and wide ranges of support in politics. I hate it so much, and it's why third party candidates never stand a chance. The corporations will have to start really putting poisons in our food and products until we really see how useless and greedy they have been.

January 20th

by American Wife on

isn't going to come quick enough. GW couldn't care less about what's going on.  AIG and the rest know nothing is going to happen until after the 20th so they're going to rape and pillage until that day knowing they have a free ride.

But after that... better watch out.  There is a new sheriff in town.  That's the first thing I expect from Obama.  Put a stop to the corruption and greed.
