US: Quds, Hezbollah training hit squads in Iran

WASHINGTON (AP) - Iraqi Shiite assassination teams are being trained in at least four locations in Iran by Tehran's elite Quds force and Lebanese Hezbollah and are planning to return to Iraq in the next few months to kill specific Iraqi officials as well as U.S. and Iraqi troops, according to intelligence gleaned from captured militia fighters and other sources in Iraq.

A senior U.S. military intelligence officer in Baghdad described the information Thursday in an interview with The Associated Press. He spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive intelligence.

The officer on Wednesday provided Iraq's national security adviser with several lists of the assassination teams' expected targets. He said the targets include many judges but would not otherwise identify them. Iraq's intelligence service is preparing operations to determine where and when the special group fighters will enter the country and is to provide an assessment to Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

The U.S. official acknowledged disclosing the information in an attempt to pressure Iran to suspend the training and prevent the militia fighters from returning to Iraq. The U.S. military also wants the Iraqi government to take steps to protect the targets. ``Wanted'' posters picturing men believed to be heading the special groups are being posted around Baghdad, the military officer said.

These are just

by Farhad Kashani on

These are just “opinions”. Many people who suffered war regret it and campaign against it.

I could give you a million such comments from people in his same shoes that say something different.

Opinions are not facts.

None of the countries you mentioned were “invaded” by the U.S. The U.S had military intervention, which one of these countries became the latest U.S state?

FK, full-time propagandist for U.S. government

by AnonymousAnonymous (not verified) on

At the time of his death in 1940, General Smedley Butler was the most decorated Marine in U.S. history. He helped lead U.S. invasions of numerous countries, including Honduras, NIcaragua, Mexico, Haiti, Dominican Republic, etc.

He observed: "I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents."

The freedom fighter term

by Farhad Kashani on

The freedom fighter term used for these Islamic fascists by some confused leftists who apologize and justify for these Islamic Fundamentalist never seem to amuse me! And give me a good dose of laugh!

Yeah, their right, they are “freedom fighters”, that’s why Hamas, one of those “freedom fighters”, says in its own charter, OWN charter, that for Hamas, the “fight of Palestinian freedom” (I.E freedom fighting), is secondary in importance to the creation of an Islamic empire. That’s what they say, not what Farhad says!

Freedom fighters were Sadat and King Hussein and Arafat. Those were the real freedom fighters. Sadat was the one who “FREED” Egyptian land from Israel (And got assassinated by some fascist murderer who is an idol for Hezbollah and Iranian regime now). King Hussein freed Jordanian land from Israel. Arafat established the current Palestinian state. Those were the real freedom fighters.

How about using some logic?

U.S trained many policemen

by Farhad Kashani on

U.S trained many policemen and military personnel around the world, for example, many European and Japanese ones. Do they abuse human rights in their countries? NO!

That discredits the baseless claim that “you have to be trained by the U.S to abuse human rights”. Let me see, the Iranian regime police is not trained by the U.S, is it? The same Guardian ranks Iran as one of the top 10 worst human rights offenders in the world. Hopefully you can see the point.

U.S just “trained” them! Its not responsible for what they do in their respective countries! Human rights abuses were going on in Latin America long before U.S establishes any ties with some of those human rights abusers. How naive is it to think that you need to be trained by U.S to abuse human rights? Amazing!

How about using some logic?

These groups you named are freedom fighters against Zio-Nazi aggression and occupation. There are no impidemnt against freedom fighting when one's country is occupied, men are imprisoned, women are raped, children killed, and propery damaged. These are actions by Zio-Nazis and anyone supports  them, IRI or not.

U.S. is the Number One instructor for death squads in the world

by Anonymous in NYC (not verified) on

//www.guardian.co.uk/world/2003/dec/09/iraq.i...

From Wikipedia: "Between 1946 and 2001, the School of the Americas in Fort Benning, Georgia trained more than 61,000 Latin American soldiers and policemen. Some of them became famous for having been responsible of human rights violations, such as generals Leopoldo Galtieri or Manuel Noriega, dictators such as Bolivia's Hugo Banzer as well as some of Augusto Pinochet's officers. The terrorist Luis Posada Carriles was educated here by 1961, although he never graduated."

"Historian Greg Grandin remarks that "Washington, of course, publicly denied its support for paramilitarism, but the practice of political disappearances took a great leap forward in Guatemala in 1966 with the birth of a death squad created, and directly supervised, by U.S. security advisors. Throughout the first two months of 1966, a combined black-ops unit made up of police and military officers working under the name "Operation Clean-Up" -- a term US counterinsurgents would recycle elsewhere in Latin America -- carried out a number of extrajudicial executions... Over the next two and a half decades, U.S.-funded and -trained Central American security forces would disappear tens of thousands of citizens and execute hundreds of thousands more."

Soufi, only someone from a

by Farhad Kashani on

Soufi, only someone from a different planet doesn’t know that the IRI is supporting Hezbollah, Moqtada Sadr, and other Islamic fundamentalist groups in Iraq and Lebanon militarily, intelligence, economically, spiritually, politically ..and other means.

The regime itself doesn’t deny that, but you are ! Amazing!

Who are you trying to fool?
