10 reasons why the Islamic Republic will last another 100 years

I mentioned once before somewhere on these boards: The Iranian would bend over and take it in the ass from a mullah while shouting absurdities against Israel, rather than be friends with America.

Bizarre but true. The Iranian of 2012 is one true weirdo.

Here are the glaring traits of the Iranian in 2012:

1. Khod bozorg bin: That theyre fucking special in the world. So you have a 3000 year history? honestly, who gives a shit? Your country TODAY is fucked as hell. Instead of mocking the 300 year history of the US, go and try to figure why is it that your country is ruled by the most retarded fools ever to walk the earth? The dudes literally burn their foreheads to make people think they are men of God!

2. Anti-semitic and racist: "Israel this. Israel that. And btw, jews really dont deserve the Nobel prizes they win. It's political." and dont forget "Tork-e khar", "Ahay Afghani!", etc...

3. Has a deep problem with women: A woman as a leader?!!! pffft! The constitution says REJAAL! Imam Ali called them "half-brained"! And "the Germans are stupid for making a woman their chancellor! What morons!" Why fight nature? Allah created women for pro-creation! And indeed women are loaded! Mashallah! And by the way, it's OK for me to go around sleeping with every slut I can find visiting the Ukraine during my single years, but if a girl has pre-marital sex, she has to have surgery and make herself aak-band, because girls must go as virgins to the house of the bakht!

4. Superstitious as hell: "read this dua 7 times, it will heal your nafkh", and how about a Dua for keeping Jinns away?

5. A slave of religion: Whether Islam, Zoroastrian, etc, they HAVE TO BE part of some fuckin ideology cult. "Karbala is heaven on Earth!"

6. The indisputable world champion of crazy conspiracy theories: "HAARP has caused the Persian Gulf dolphins near Kish to die in groups. Mousavi is a zionist! The US Marines are trying to kill Imam Zaman in Iraq!"

7. The eternal believer in central authority: Whether it's Imam Zaman, Soshyant, Ghebleye aalam, or Velayat-e faqih. The Iranian believes in being a duty-bound follower, not in civic responsibility. The dowlat is not responsible for keeping darakeh clean. YOU ARE!

8. Stupid as hell: So Stanford U has so many Iranians they are naming cafes and trees after Iranians now. But just tell me this, if youre so fuckuing smart, how in God's name did you entrust your country to a total illiterate who claimed he could make electricity/utilities "free"? Dont tell me it was the face on the Moon! What the fuck were you thinking when he said "MAN dowlat ta'een mikonam. MAN tooye dahan-e een dowlat mizanam"? Didnt you hear his man manam echoing everywhere? Indeed, the crown is now a turban, and the Iranian of 2012 still thinks there was a revolution.

9. Crazy xenophobic: like the Brits and Americans Are dying to get a piece of their land for 200 years. One pristine national park in the US is 3 times the size of your Ardebil Province you dumb fuck! Nobody's out to get you! Youre hairy, ungrateful, and are always living in the past.

10. Always in mourning: No culture on Earth glamorizes suffering and mourning like Iranian shias do. They literally enjoy khak be sar shodan. Why else do you think theyre so eager to go to war against the US Navy? They literally want to eternalize themselves by becoming shahid like Hosein. Becoming mazloom and losing a war against the US will engrave their name forever like Hosein, the "master of martyrs". Having a mental condition is a religious value for the Iranian of 2012.

So rest assured, this regime will last 100 more years, simply because it's feeded by a cuture of stupidity in which people refuse to change or even acknowledge. In the words of Fred, Tabrik!

I think you people want it

Because it gives you a platform to bash Iranians and spew your hate. Then feel superior and holier than thou.

Nobody knows what is going to happen in 100 years. Any who claim admit ignorance and arrogance. Heck I don't know what is going to happen 20 years from now.

There is something very similar on both ends of radicalism.

Dude, Iranian society, post Allameh Majlesi has been a complete and utter mullah creation.   I'm sure you know who he is.  But for those who don't, here's some info on that creature:

//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allameh_Majlesi

No other person in the past 1000 years (at least) has had as much impact on the fabric of Iranian society that Majlesi.  He laid the foundation for the Shia mullah dominated Iranian society that we see today.  They--the Shia mullarchy--created and shaped the post Majlesi modern Iranian society using his directives.  They have been working on our culture for centuries.  They created it and they know it inside and out.  That's why the Islamic Republic fits the Iranian society like a glove.

Perhaps you should do a blog on Majlesi.  You can probably do a better job describing him and his impact than me.

I'll be back with another comment to address the other points that you raised in your comment.

Likewise, you can speak for yourself too

Go and be happy and merry and Omeedvar with the Islamic Republic and the future it has for us

Please, speak for yourself and your groupies. Do not generalize your views. Of course, religion has something to do with it. But we are not the only nation going through such period of tyranny. Go and read the world history. You will be surprised to see that, worse than this has happened in other parts of the world, especially in Europe, in the name of religion or ideology. The important thing is that, they learned from their history, chose democracy, and tried to safegard it under any system of government, whether constitutional monarchy or republic.

Yes, I was once like you too. Nationalistic, proud, hopeful.

We will wait and see if the youngsters you talk about will change anything. This is what Im seeing:

and the rest are either working their butts off to go to college, get married, or get a visa. The young dissident majority is a myth.

If we're still alive in 100 years, we'll see whether youre still reciting Simin Behbahani poems. Ive been waiting for 30 years for things to start improving, and shit hasnt happened. In fact, it's now worse. Double crossing opportunists like Trita Parsi are now calling us to make peace with our rapists.

They execute, lash, torture, and then give us a holier than thou self-righteous look at IKA. Ever notice the look on the passport control officer's face? Well I wont step foot again into that shithole, until change is seriously demanded. Millions of us have fled Iran for the same reason. But in the mean time, you can believe in your rosy perspective of Iran and poetry. Good luck!

You know, things are so bad that Ive constantly been trying to figure out how did we get here? What went soooo wrong that after having such a long history we end up being where we are today. It's as if everything that can go wrong in the universe decided to go wrong in Iran. The people, the culture, the weather, the air, the nature, as if we were somehow cursed or something. It baffles me.

But I have 2 theories:

1. We were eternally fucked by the Safavids: Religion has something to do with all our miseries. Religion is present in the psyche of even those who arent religious. Did you see the film on link #5? The guy is going to Karbala talking about Hosein this Hosein that, and yet none of his family members are religious. All are bihejab, and they even have a house dog. And Im thinking while watching them: "maybe Iranians need religion psychologically to give them a sense of higher purpose. One day it's Zoroastrianism, another day it's Islam." Is our religious-philic trait, gene driven? Why else do we always gravitate towards a hierarchy of worship and divinity? Maybe there is truth to the saying "the west invented logic, the east invented mysticism". It frightens me. What if our social traits are genetically driven? See for e.g.:

//www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=religious-experiences-shrink-part-of-brain

2. What if we're all monarchists at heart (item #7 on the list above)? What if the idea of a central figure in the house, in the society, in religion, is so well ingrained in our heads that we gravitate toward it even unknowingly? Have you noticed how they call the Rahbar "agha" "agha"? The father figure. The Imam Zaman. But then again, this brings me back to my first theory. What if this is genetic? Like wolves, we're big into central authority and alpha males and pack leaders. What if the tribalism gene from our pre-historic days is behind all this Baseeji, Sepahi, zowb-e velaayat etc character of ours? If that is true, our "long history" is actually working against us, because it would be impeding our ability to adapt and change! We're so accustomed to having a central authority, that we cant think of a western democratic model. It's either the rahbar, the king, or imam zaman. Scary thoughts. And Im sure many here wont like them.

Anonymous Observer

Omeedvar - you have recited the old fantasy version of Iran

by Anonymous Observer on

Iranians could be quite barbaric and uncivilized.  We are the ONLY nation on the planet--in modern times--that has attacked foreign embassies (twice) and has taken diplomats hostage.

And what about the forced conversion of millions of Iranians to Shiism by the Savafids?  Civlized too?  Hundreds of thousands were killed.  Also, what about the mass executions under the IR?  Tens of thousands summarily executed.  Very few nations in history have committed these atrocities against their own people.

This fantastic version of history that Iranians have weaved for themselves is utter nonsense.  We don't believe in "pendar" or "kerdar" neek.  If we did, we wouldn't be ruled by the IR for three decades.

omeedvar

I disagree with you....

by omeedvar on

Thousands years of Iranian history is witness that Iranians have been intelligent, kind, hospitable and law-obiding people. They were not racist or anti-Semitic, nor were they anti women. They survived  brutal invaders, and kept their own language and culture. They had faith and believe in "Raftaar-e nik, Goftaar-e nik, Kerdaar-e nik", and created joyful celebrations like: Norouz, Mehregan, Yalda...

Their land has been attractive for other nations, because of rich natural resources, and ideal geo-political location. A small percentage of Iranians, however, have tried to make a living by deceiving, either the illiterate, in the name of Islam (mullahs), or keeping the young and educated people busy, in the name of ideology of communist, capitalist, etc (Shariatee, Soroush).

However, we are now living in a global village with the advanced information technology. The older and mostly illiterate section of the population, has gratually moved to Behesht or Jahannam, in the past thirty years. Their offsprings have experienced true Islamic Republic, and majority don't like it. More than five million Iranians are now living in the free world, communicating with each other. Many of them are great scientists, doctors, lawyers, businessmen, and other professionals. They will keep the culture.

F-2 and the likes may wish to extend the mess we are in, for hundred years, but the younger generation of Iranians will not let it happen. They will join each other from every corner of the world that they live, and their goal as our beloved poet, Simin Behbahani, said it best, "Dobareh misazamat ey vatan", and keep their true culture alive.

Fesenjoon - It's because mullahs' dicks are Iranian!

by Anonymous Observer on

And therefore, they will happily take them in their asses.  At least they will be "independent" of foreign dicks.

Esteghlal, Azadi, jomhoori eslami!  Even the dicks that they take up their asses are Iranian.  That's what I call "khod kafa."

Takbeer!!!!!

PS - you should add to Number 1: they should ponder why they are the only country on planet Earth that has been, and is being, ruled by a theocracy in the 20th and 21st centuries. That should tell Iranians something about their culture.  No---never mind.  They will never get it.  They will probably blame it on Israel and the amorphous, always conspiratorial, "West."
