Is this a comedy show What

by benross on

Is this a comedy show

What makes you think so? These are some youth, using their everyday language, and non of them is at a tribune with a prepared speech. And they put their life in danger just to do this. Does it sound comedy to you?

Marjan Zahed Kindersley

Did I hear this correctly?

by Marjan Zahed Kindersley on

Interviewer: "Merci az tAim."    Did the person mean 'time'?

Is this a comedy show? No one seems to be able to speak any language properly.

Ahura and Real McCoy

RP is sitting to talk with some youth activists inside Iran, who didn't ask your permission to do so. Start accepting this fact first, blunder later.

Ahura

Reza Pahlavi Preaches but Practices Not

by Ahura on

What an irony for the first person to make a Freudian slip and greet him as Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, although later correctly calls him Reza Pahlavi. In fact, prince Reza is unwilling to cut the umbilical cord and disassociate himself from the dictatorship of his father, but merely talks about mistakes in the past rather than blunders that lost the country to mullahs the least qualified and the most regressive faction of our society. He supports secular democracy, rule of the people, freedom of speech, and social freedom and for that he is to be commended.

He claims to be a part of the Green movement but evades revealing his ideas on the initial leaders of that movement, namely Mohammad Khatami, Mehdi Karoubi, and Mir Hossein Mousavi who are committed to the IRI constitution or theocracy. He also refrains from answering the questions on 1979 Iranian revolution and the coup d’etat of 1953 showing that his ideas are beyond the pale and unwelcomed by majority of Iranians. Mr. Reza Pahlavi preaches the freedom of expression and beliefs but fails to express his own thoughts when risky and unpopular. As such his position remains shaky and untenable.

To redeem himself he can make his inheritance a public record, denounce his father’s autocratic rule, and help the thousands of destitute Iranian refugees abroad. That, of course, will not happen.

Raoul

by benross on

I don't quite agree. Not because you are wrong but because you undermine 30 years of stagnation in opposition, marred by hate propaganda, which scattered the ideas all over the places.

Logically, to take the example of Vildemose, every bits and pieces that she agrees upon, should lead to this obvious conclusion without any explanation. But it doesn't. I attribute this to the stagnation of opposition because obviously Vildemose is NOT dumb.

RP discussion session also is an example of scattered ideas.

To 'benross''

by Raoul1955 on

To ‘bensross’

This is based on my professional background of working with adults for over 20 years:
One should [now and then] avoid explaining matters that some individuals either willfully, or due to their thinking, refuse to or cannot digest.  If someone hasn’t understood that one’s state of mind is a determining factor in his/her attitude in thinking of, and subsequently addressing a Royalty, then you will be wasting your energy by continuing to engage the said.

Thanks for the clip.  Very funny.

vildemose

by benross on

Who has fought RP's father?

That would be me. Nothing grandiose mind you. Just actively supporting his opposition.

why do I need to call him "your majesty"

You do realize that when I write here, I don't write for a single person. You do need to call him 'his majesty' in your mind, whether you are republican or communist or anything else, as a psychological treatment of all those 'marg bar shah' of a reactionary anti-modernity revolution that has left some residue in mind of %98 of population. It's your need to call him that way not his.

vildemose

benross: Who has fought RP's

by vildemose on

benross: Who has fought RP's father??

vildemose

Benross: why do I need to

by vildemose on

Benross: why do I need to call him "your majesty"? Why is it my "need" to call him "your majesty"? I don't need to show initiative as a king. I'm not a king. He is. He needs to act like it.

"If you build it they will come"--from the movie "Field of Dreams", although the original quote is attributed to Teddy Roosevelt.

I do like that political parties under his leadership are not necessary. That is a very attractive selling point.

benross

Don't turn the table vildemose

by benross on

Let me answer your questions because DK brain doesn't function the same way that someone who actually fought RP's father would think.

Why does RP need me to call him "your majesty".

He doesn't need it at all. You need it.

What difference does it make what I or anyone else call him.

It doesn't make any difference, FROM THE MOMENT YOU KNOW HE IS YOUR MAJESTY.

Why does he need my reassurance?

If he has to assemble Iranians, organize them and provide a tangible and meaningful direction to the movement, in a way that it gets noticed at national and international stage, he needs to know you accepted him to do that, in what is his capacity as the legitimate king of Iran.

Why doesn't he believe that he is really the heir to the crown?

Huh?????

I think that is what he is really struggling with hence, his hesitancy to take leadership.

No dear, YOU are struggling with it. When you come out clear, he will lead you.

Beside all other facts, he is the perfect person to lead us because he will never ever organize a political party. Not now, not in the future. He can only organize a national organization for liberating Iran from IRI. That's all he can do and that's all -as a king- he is there for.

by vildemose on

DK jan: Your article is very comprehensive and honestly I don't have the time to go through it today. However, I think you're not doing your cause any favor by saying "digeh hosele nadaram" not just to me buy anyone who is interested in finding out about RP. Don't worry, I'm not offended at all.

I will try to finish up reading the entire article including all the videos by the end of this week.

This is a very good effort on RP's part.  Even though I am not one of his supporters, I think that his outreach effort can prove quite effective.  And I bet you that efforts like this make the IRI quite nervous, as is  evident by that fact that their chief propaganda monkey on this site, "Mola Nasreedeen" has crawled out of his hole three times already to leave comments on this thread.

Spending time with refugees/visiting,  mounts to NOTHING, even if he had done every year, instead of once in 30 years.

I already knew about his wife's work with children.  Sorry, I am not impressed.

Look at, what Shirin Ebadi has accomplished  in a hostile/difficult environment.  This is the kind of leadership/commitment,  we need.  She(SE) reminds me of Reza Shah, whom I like/respect, tremendously.  Smart, tough, devoted, courageous.

For MM:

SOLIDARITY: Reza Pahlavi with Iranian Refugees in London (2005)

Pour Un Instant: LA LIBERTE! by Darius KADIVAR ( The director Arash T. Riahi supported Reza Pahlavi's efforts in helping fellow compatriots and his struggle for democracy and human rights in an interview for Paris Match last summer prior to the Post Election Protests last Summer that woke Iranians worldwide and turned them all into Opponents to the IRI overnight ... Well Others did Not just wait for last Summer to express their opposition to the IRI and it's Brutal Nature and infamous reputation in the past 30 years ... alas Often to Deaf Ears in the Diaspora ( See Farrokhzad's repeated calls at Concerts Here or on Diaspora TV)

For Minadadvar:

YASMINE'S MISSION FOR IRAN'S CHILDREN by DK

A Conclusion for what it is worth:

YOU Can't Alway Get What YOU Want !

Nothing wrong with demanding more or complaining but today more than ever YOU IRANICANS Need to get YOUR ACTS TOGETHER !

Cause in Europe and Iran I believe more and more fellow compatriots are trying to do their share rather than merely complaining, Nagging and Bitching like Spoiled Brats to no use ...

It is OUR COMMUN FUTURE and that of OUR CHILDREN and FUTURE GENERATIONS which is at Stake Here Not our Petty Selves !

To Paraphrase Kennedy even if it may shake your Republican ( Jomhury Khah) Convictions and respectable in their own right:

Ask Not what the Crown Can do for YOU But What YOU Can Do for the Crown !

MAZIAR!

by P_J on

You seem to be every bit as SMART as you BRETHEREN and compatriot DK!

The least you can do is to try to get on the same PAYROLE as he is!

A DESCENT person does not spend BILLIONS of dollars that his family had STOLEN...NEITHER would he surrounds himself by HUSTELERS as his betraying father did!  And about Khomeini or Khamenei…It was the actions of Pahlavi’s that brought them to power!  It is called CAUSE and AFFECT, or ACTION and REACTION!

maziar 58

blah,blah

by maziar 58 on

blah    I'm gonna put my p.j's on and go to sleep here;

meanwhile the other P-J has to convince other peoples on IC about all ridicules he slanders toward a decent Iranian who happen to be born in a royal family.

may khamenei and rafsanjani and all those other towel heads can come up with an answer for you P-J.               Maziar

P_J

DK!

by P_J on

The only individual who calls this IDIOT "your majesty" is a paid HUSTELING PROPAGANDIST like you!

No matter how hard you try to make these INFAMOUS people human, just the fact that they EMBEZZELED tons of money that they have been living on for the past 30+ years tells the story of this DISPICAPBLE family.

Nothing can change or erace these FACTS no matter how HARD a paid HUSTELER like you try!
