Great photos. I stopped

by RoyaNia on

Great photos. I stopped visiting iranian.com for a while since the greens lies and propaganda was getting on my nerves. Hopefully there will be even less of that now that the green bubble has burst, and you fill the site with some good material to read, something interesting.

obama

Q & COP, where are you? I had fun reading your mails! Don't stop

by obama on

now! It was just getting interesting!

I never understand why we have to fight over every little thing (I am no exemption)! Here we are enjoying watching this lady's photos of Iran, all of sudden they are fighting over something that has nothing to do with this!

I guess it is true when they say that we stop maturing at the age 10. How much more proof do we need? At least, we know you are not going to have Michael jackson's childhood trauma!

Cool guys! Life is short - enjoy your moments and argue as long as you are having fun!

Very interesting collection! I saw pictures with "Down with USA", Mickey Mouse, and Del Monte banner...A lot of magazine stands and book stands.....people like to read over there....My favorites are the Kandovan house #2 and #3......very unique and very Persian!

Thank you for sharing!

I'd be able to appreciate the photos even more if there was the smallest indication as to where each of the photos were taken.

I like the order in which pics are posted. Pics #1 to #47 show the misery, backwardness, poverty of a country and then when you click on #48 you see the majesty, beauty, splendor, richness and glory of a nation although it dates from around 515 BC.

Az kooja bh kooja ressedeem!

Q..cut the crap

by Cost-of-Progress on

You are the satire abu, and the arrogance is all yours. I just tell it like it is and your alliance of reesh-o pashm doesn't like it.... but like I said, it has nothing to do with the photographer.

As for living in the States, why? Don't you hate the west? Why do you live among the out-of-touch exiles and the infidels?

In any case, I recommend medication, perhaps an upper to help you take the islamic bug out your arse and help you with your nastiness.

OK, I'm done with you and your intellectualness.

Someone should put together a book on Iran's war murals.

(Maybe I'll post an upcoming article on post '80 Iranian war art.)

Q

Satire = طنز، هجونامه ، طعنه .

Q

Cop jan,

No! please let's not "continue" at all. Please go back to what you claimed you were doing and this time actually ignore me for real.

I feel like I'm losing brain cells just responding to you.

The 2004 piece was SATIRE, a time-honored tradition among Iranian writers. Just like my response to your ignorant and arrogant comment to this wonderful photographer.

PS. I live in a suburb of LA technically speaking.

Cost-of-Progress

Q - you're craw fishing

by Cost-of-Progress on

The fraud that you are does not care to elaborate about your 2004 blog. Speechless ha? Or tell me why you're so unpleasant and arrogant?

Tell me, why the change of heart?

And if you're name is Qumars and you live in LA, my name is abdullah and I live in Timbaktu!

Qumars is rolling in his grave.

BTW, this has nothing to do with the photographer, so if you like we should continue this elswhere. But is there a point?

Q

Dear COP, Brilliant again!!!

by Q on

but first:

"unpleasant" is the least of what your first comment was toward the wonderful photographer above.

Brilliant investigation work! You have officially topped your previous record in "analyzing" me. When people talk of "brain drain", they must be talking about you, my friend!!!

Seriously. It's true. I can say many things about you, but you certainly do "fall short" of a perceptive reader, if you know what I mean!

Cost-of-Progress

Q - Do read this

by Cost-of-Progress on

I haven't temporarily ignored your comments since yesterday, read why below, but first:

Are you naturlaly unpleasant, or do you just have problems with everyone who does not agree with your "NEW" way of thinking and new-found ideolgy?

Why "NEW"?

Yesterday, I was searching the archives on I.com and I came across your blogs from a few years back written under the name of Qumars Bolourchian (the name on your profile). Whether that's really you or an alias is irrelevant, but what is relevant is that in this blog:

//iranian.com/Opinion/2004/August/QB/index.html

dated August 2004, you are praising the Shah and our glorious past on your way to bad mouth Bhai's and Israel. WTF?

You talk about how the Pope (John Paul who was Polish at the time)was a Jew and not a Catholic. I just about fell off my chair when I read the stuff about how Khomeini, with the help of Bahai-run Israel mounted the revolution to take revenge on the people of Iran for running the Bahais out of Iran in the 1800's.

What a load of crap.  No wonder Iran is in the shape it is today. People like you are their "intellectuals"....

Are you for real man?

COP, what a brilliant observation

by Q on

Seems like you liked the religious spots.... I don't get it.

Idiot tourist! Think they know what's a good scene for their own cameras! Why didn't she just ask you what to take pictures of before going to Iran? Why did she use her own judgement?

/sarcasm

very nice pictures. I already sent some as postcard.

You travelled the country and posted only half 1/2 photos each of Persepolis and Naghsh-e Rostam.... These are among the most magnificent remnants of Persian history. Seems like you liked the religious spots....

I don't get it.
