Re: Before it is too late . . Maybe it is too late

According to CAIS apparently Cyrus's tomb is showing first signs of destruction! I hope Iranians could prevent that!

Majid nothing in particular.

But appears like it came out sounding wrong to you.  I guess I was trying to respond yesterday to comments like this regime is worse than any in Iranian history, worse than Ghajar where Fatali Shah gave what a quarter of Iran away because he didn't feel like moving his ass?  He is better than this bunch? Perhaps I was thinking people can read my mind.  But nothing in particular.

Before it is too late

by Iran and Iranian (not verified) on

Majority of Iranians are deeply traumatized. You may ask how? Savagery of Bedouins (i.e., An Arab of any of the nomadic tribes of the Arabian, Syrian, Nubian, or Sahara deserts) against Iranians were so grave that to date after 1400 years Iranians can not be proudly be free Iranian in their own country. The picture above speaks volume.

Majority of Iranians behave as victims. You make ask how? The same savagery of Bedouins but this time by most of us Iranians applies to our families and country men and women. You see after 1400 years, we are not yet free man and women and not offering to each other dignity and freedom.

Majority of Iranians are hypnotized. You may ask how? Islamic propaganda and force have resulted alienation of our own Iranian/Persian identity. We hardly know our own heroes while our adversaries feed to us as our champions.

What should we do? Stop Genocide of Iranians and Iranian culture. This is serious. Stop Genocide of Iranians and Iranian culture.

will there ever be day...

by jesus (not verified) on

in Iran when we have his birthday as a holiday, and celebrate it as one of the most important days in our calendar? Will there be a day that Pasargade and his tomb becomes our Mecca, and Millions from Tajikastan, Afghanistan, central asia come as pilgrims?
When will we be able to break the chain of the slavery that has shackled us for so long? The inertia is changing, and with all the disaster IR has brought us, one positive thing is that it has awakened us with a true appreciation for our heritage..

by farhang (not verified) on

I'm glad to see that Iranian People paying their respect and appreciation to Cyrus the great(Koroshe Kabeer) the founder of Persia(Iran) and its great civilization and proud history. I hope the Iranians will soon realize the truth and revive their ancient way of life, rooted in the teachings of Zarathushtra.

Can't help to have goosebumps...

...on my hands and neck when seeing Kouroshe Bozorg being honoured and celebrated by my fellow Iranian brothers and sisters. It seems that people are more and more realizing what great herritage our motherland offers them.

May Kouroshe Bozorg rest in peace and may one day his path once again be of guidance to all Iranians again.

Proud of Iranian heritage

by Flowers (not verified) on

Regardless of whether they have left the flowers there or that the flowers are there for the sake of the picture, their gesture means that unlike the mullah rulers, they're proud of their Iranian heritage but they are saying it ever so gently and cautiously.

I am afraid, I have to agree with Xian- Anonymouse.

Not exactly a strong political statement.

by Anonymouse on

Cheghadr nafas az adam migirid emrooz!  Who has put up the scaffolding around the masoleum itself?  It is being rehabilitated.  There is such a thing called Daftar-e Hefz-e Miras-e Farhangee (Department of saving historical landmarks).  There is a danger of this place going under water for a dam construction and many are against it.  Many, not just these few people here.

Political statement

by Anonymousee (not verified) on

I don't remember ever seen Flowers left on Koorosh's tomb before. This is an opposing statement towards the IRI.

Anonymouse

Flowers are not "left" at the mausoleum!

by Anonymouse on

No one "leaves" anything in Iran.  The flowers were put there so pictures can be taken and then back to the owners. Those flowers cost money and if "left" others will take it and try to sell it or use it themselves.  Unfortunately these kind of gestures are not real in Iran.  Napkins are not found in public restroom because people steal the napkins! go figure.

Saying it with flowers

by ramintork on

Never before has saying it with flowers has meant so much.

Notice the flowers left by the steps of the mausoleum.
