Photo essay: Manaus & Rio Negro in Brazil's Amazonia

by Jahanshah Javid
28-May-2012

[Photos have captions] I got into Manaus, the capital of Brazil's Amazonia Friday. The feeling I got was like no other. This is where nature clashes with man. A city of two million surrounded by an area three times the size of Iran and only accessible through a vast river system from the Atlantic ocean. Yesterday I took a boat tour. I couldn't believe my eyes. I couldn't believe I was in the Amazon!

Dear Esfand

by Anahid Hojjati on

last year, you called Jahanshah jjj and now you want him to take picture with man eating tribes. What happened?

Esfand Aashena

No pictures of man-eating tribes of Amazon?!

by Esfand Aashena on

You went all the way there but couldn't get a picture with some man-eating tribal elders?!  I saw a picture of statues of them but it'd have been nice if you could've taken some pictures of them in their village!

Everything is sacred

New Embassy?

by Dr. Mohandes on

Looks like a tempting location for IRI to set up shop or transfer employees from other sothern american nations to! it has two of the most important component that they need for setting up a diplomatic mission:

1- plenty of water

2- enough number of young ladies of appropriate age!

And by the way : the best players has been, still is and will be something something Muller of west germany:))

So carlos and juan and diego can gather their longs and go where sun don't shine!
